@@AgricolaSuperbus Personally at least, it feels like they lost their edge They went too hard on sounding beautiful and grand while also forgetting what made their previous records so amazing was that slight aggressive edge paired with the otherwise mystic sounding pianos and great vocals. Stuff like the guitar blast at the beginning of Deathaura, the opening line of Fly with the Black Swan or even the "say you love me, whore" in this song I'm not against bands that just wanna sound pretty, but in the end Sonata wasn't able to pull that off without losing themselves along the way

A trip through memory lane. Sonata Arctica was my first foray into unknown territory. I remember having Revontulet on repeat until i was nearly deaf. Still, this is one of my favourites. Tony's voice is fantastic and Henrik on the keytar never looked more epic. I'm surprised their old songs doesn't have more views.
