I have read your dissertation about Sonata Structures in Tchaikovsky 4,5 & 6 considering it THE most authoritative writing standing along with that of Timothy Jackson. The tables for the 3 first movements you provided are the only ones in the market outlining the structures of 3 symphonies. 👍👍👍

Wow thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear from you. Honestly I always wonder if anyone is reading it so I'm glad to get some confirmation of that 😅

@@sonatahewrote Aloha: Do you think that the final 3 movements of Tchaikovsky 6 are: Ternary ABA form for the 2nd and deformations of Type II Sonata Form for the final 2 movements. Thanks again.

@@mikewang2755 I might be wrong because i didn’t go as in depth on those movements, but I remember sketching an outline where the deformation was that they were tragically unable to even be sonatas. I don’t know if you know Andrew Davis’s book “Sonata Fragments” but I was thinking that for the last movement. The second movement of the 5th symphony is like that too. To be honest I’d need to take a closer look at the second again before I could say but I definitely remember writing “ternary?” In my score
