I'm so happy that you covered this etude. This etude is so beautiful, but it is so underrated.

Chopin so well encapsulates a feeling of regret and lamenting as well as a sort of process it goes through. This analysis was amazing!

Chopin, so emotional and yet so reserved as well. I'm working on a 25 Preludes set of my own, partly inspired by Chopin.

I think preludes are a great way to develop composing.

Sonata Secrets I think so too and the other big inspiration for these Preludes are my own Emotion-Key associations that I have due to Perfect Pitch.

Nice video!!! May I ask you which set of microphones and audio interface you have??

So it's a pair of close Oktava MK 012 and I mix in some room sound from a Zoom H6. Then mix together in Adobe Audition (also with a lavalier microphone for the talking).

Yes, nicer tempo, LH accompaniment flows better, not so dissonant. Thanks!

The chords at 8:45 reminds me of the second section of Nocturne 27. 1.

absolutely love this piece. are you familiar with godowsky’s version for left hand only ?
@metteholm48333 жыл бұрын
Wow! Would you do one with Schumanns Bunte Blätter1? It is very difficult to balance.

The emotioal tone of this piece reminds me of someone wrestling with private grief or inner turmoil. I don't mean to sound disrespectful, but the mood is very bleak & despite ending on a major chord, in my opinion, there is no resolution to the interminable sadness and wistful suffering that the music evokes. It's so mournful and despairing, with no relief, yet it is strangely beautiful as well. The rippling arpeggios throughout suggest to me a blackness and despondence that constantly haunt a soul in perpetual torment. I can't recall any music quite like this: it is so "depressing" yet lovely at the same time.
