Sonax has a ton of great products....what have you tried from them?
@MikeGDetailing6 жыл бұрын
Cutmax and EX 04-06 are great. I have used Perfect Finish with a Rupes 15 MKII and don't get me wrong it is a nice polish to work with but it dusts for me unlike EX 04-06. Polymer Net Shield is nice as is their CC36 ceramic coating which met the 1 year claim on my personal daily driver. Also forgot Brilliant Shine Detailer.

I tried quite a bit of their line. Did so while filming Competiton Ready and working on Adam Carolla's Lambos. Everything I tried worked great. Sonax was a sponsor, and I'm glad. Great products. CutMax is a nice compound.

I've used SPF and how much it cuts is dependant on how fast the compound breaks down. So it's not only pad dependant, but speed dependant as well. I've slowed my speeds down during the compound phase and it seems to work much longer, then speed it up a bit for polish. Like you said Brian, it's not perfect, and I really don't believe a one step will ever be perfect, but for those vehicles with minor blemishes, it's a great product which can save a detailer a lot of time and the customer a lot of money.

First I would like to say Thank-you for all your series. Really great to watch you break down each of the products and carefully test them with a real solid process. You take your time and keep a consistent process to test all these products and give an unbiased review. Do you keep a database (spreadsheet) on all these tests similar to the white board you use to evaluate? It would be interesting to look at this. Regarding the current video I am ordering some Sonax to test on one of my cars. Thank you again!

both cut and finish or perfect finish are great product, long playtime, easy wipe, almost zero dusting, excellent cut and finish. but they easily make the pads saturated, when the pads were saturated will have dusting problems. like sticky dots cake, very hard to wipe. solution: just take a little dots and work with small area. always clean ur pads after 1-2panels finished. thank me later 😆

Perfect Finish uses more refined abrasives for sure, hence, why it's more expensive. 04-06 is designed for a DA, while PF was designed with a rotary in mind, so I wonder if 04-06 would give better results with a DA? On the flipside, many use Perfect Finish with a DA as well.

Great video sir!! A question - so the scratches left over by Perfect Finish, would you then compound those out with say a CutMax? Trying my hand at detailing my wife's car and wanted to get a product to handle swirls, scratches, and water marks. Was going to go with Perfect Finish and CutMax...your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for the informative videos!!
@parkervankley47065 жыл бұрын
Perfect Finish is a great one step polish if paired with the correct pad. If there are scratches left after using PF, hit it with a compound such as cutmax with a cutting pad, then go over it again with PF and a finishing pad to get rid of marring/haze left over from the compound.
