Soner Nostalgia - from a brand that makes rectangular watches...ONLY!!

This is the second review I've seen, and this watch is certainly growing on me now.

I'm sure that if put side by side you'd spot differences, but from memory it escapes me what is different about this current version in comparison to their previous one. I definitely could wear more rectangular cases. I only have one, which is on the verge of being too big, even though on paper it shouldn't be. Certainly they should ideally be quite thin too, as there is quite a bit of slab effect, here on display too. The curve is quite important for longer rectangles too. The dial is essentially a sunburst with sticks and not particularly sharp looking Dauphine hands. For 500 on a quartz I think one would rightly expect a bit more. The markup for automatic doesn't seem too bad in comparison, but what will one be getting then? I'm sympathetic to Söner's design mission, but they've not yet come out with one that I'd be very keen to wear.

Is this dial red with some orange shine or is it like actually red and only the footage looks a little bit red/orange

Not bad at all. But it looked like it might be a bit large for me based on how it looked on wrist in the video.

I am not convinced by design of this particular watch. I always like square or semi-square watches but this one is not my cup of tea. 1) I don't like bended case shape. It doesn't fits to squarish nature of the watch. Everyone has different wrists shapes, so anatomically speaking it is a gimmick. 2) Dial makes dull impression even with applied indexes and sunburst effect. It misses something... I am not going to analyse it deeper because no one is paying me to do it and I am not working for this company. One thing is clear: I am not going to buy it and there is no "wow" effect here.

For me, it is too classic and simple. There is nothing really attractive. I much prefer the affordable rectangular watches from LIP or SEIKO for example 🤷‍♂
