I think even Hyundai knows this. So when I had gone to enquire about sonet and venue, sonet has no discount plus upto 4 months waiting but venue was readily available with upto 40k discount.

Well, generally there is a difference of Rs1.5 Lakh between diesel and petrol variant which is not the case here but the difference is also not just petrol and diesel. Your gonna love iMT if you mostly drive in the city and on other hand if you mostly drive on highways and you're running is considerable it makes more sense to go with diesel.

Bro ..imt has just entered the market..imt is a 3 cylinder engines and heat up very quickly as they are not naturally aspirated engines...Nobody is ready to announce the reliability and defects of imt petrol engines...imt gives 11 to 12 kms/ltr on an average... On the other hand bs6 diesel engines are most refined and their reliability is already proved.. Diesel engines are naturally aspirated 4 cylinders engines and gives you 19 to 23 kms of mileage... So better go for Diesel engine

This is the first video I had to dislike of you guys. You guys generally make very informative and helpful videos but this is really not a quality comparison at all as you havent driven them and compared its ride quality and overall seat comfort. It's very immature to say one car better than the other because of few hyped up features and few thousand difference in It's value. I have driven them both extensively and I clearly liked Venue better in certain areas like the bonnet view, the front and rear seat comfort (especially the rear seat cushions and noticeable better thigh support), simple, clean and more practical dashboard design and looks and obviously widely spread service centers. No doubt Sonet looks pretty bold, aggressive and more SYVish in terms of looks and Venue looks more like a hatchback especially from the rear. But apart from this Venue is definitely a more practical choice. Features like keyless entry, push to start button, rear arm rest, d cut steering wheel are of least use. But having a better bonnet view, much better rear seat cushions and thigh support is more practical and actually useful things to have. This video is clearly not well done and is misleading the inexperienced audiences. At the end of the day both cars are good in their own right and the wise thing to do is to drive them both enough number of times to make your choices for yourself and not buy it because of youtube reviews.

One very important thing, you missed to mention: Sonet IMT version, doesn't have 'Hill Assist" option, whereas Venue IMT have this option.... Its really very practical thing for any slope area, if clutch is removed without 'Hill Assist", it will be difficult handle .. car will roll behind on switch from break to accelerator...

Hi, I have finalized Sonet HTX as my first car. But with the ex-showroom price being the same, I am slightly confused between the 1.0L turbo petrol engine and the 1.5L diesel engine. I have considered the insurance cost and the registration cost, but the diesel is only marginally costlier than the petrol one. I do not intend on using the vehicle much for daily commute but for only occasional weekend trips. Could you please suggest which one I should go for? Thank you.

Have been using the HTX iMT (turbo petrol) Sonet for a few months and compared with my neighbour's GTX diesel MT. Purely from a performance point of view, the petrol gives more of a kick at 1800 RPM. Not a huge difference, but I notice it every time. The diesel has a little more torque at the lower range under (1000 RPM) which is less noticeable in everyday use. The power does not kick as strongly at 2000 RPM but there is a small boost. Other than that, there's barely any difference. Noise is very slightly more on the diesel, but both cars are extremely quiet so it's not an issue either way. iMT is a huge benefit in the city and drives are much easier than the MT. Diesel gives approx 19-21 kmpl consistently and petrol between 11.5-16 kmpl depending on driving style (turbo engines can either be efficient or can guzzle, all depends on the driver). We expect the figures to improve after both engines settle - this is what you can expect after 2-3 months. If you're looking for mileage and lower costs, go for the diesel. Should be fine to own for another 10 years without issue. If you're looking for a little more fun while driving, buy the turbo petrol.
