Even if they don't canonly get together, Cass obviously had feelings for Rapunzel. Just look at her face when Horis- *COUGH* EUGENE and Rapunzel hug after the fight. At least she's willing to let go and accept the fact that Eugene and Rapunzel are very happy together. Honestly though, if Cass HAD rescued Rapunzel then they definitely would have fallen in love.
