How sad... Her story reminded me a lot of Marielle Franco, a Brazilian activist murdered in 2018. We say that Marielle became a seed. It's the same message at the end of this video. A seed that we have the obligation to water and spread more and more. I'm sure that Berta is happy with this tribute and seeing her voice echoing.

Thanks for this beautiful tribute to Berta Cáceres and for helping bring awareness to the threats and struggles still faced on a daily basis by indigenous peoples and environmental activists in Honduras as well as all over Central America. Cheers from Costa Rica. We'd love to see you in this part of the world someday.

Walk into the room The one you made of water A river runs through The one that you said made us two Now that you're- Now that you're gone Now that you're- Now that you're gone I can see that you're still around The seed that fell to the ground Grew in and then it grew out And out, out, out What can we say to the past, to the pain To the pulse of a thought, to the blood, to the rain To the fire of your song, to the river in our veins To all that is gone and all that remains Now that you're- Now that you're gone Now that you're- Now that you're gone I can see that you're still around Your seed that fell to the ground Grew in and then it grew out And now, ow, ow I can see that you're still around Your seed that fell to the ground Grew in and then it grew out And out, out, out I can see that you're still around Your seed that fell to the ground Grew in and then it grew out And out, out, out
