This is so fantastic! My favourite track ever and the best ever Eurovision Entry from any country! Why do they always get it wrong? This simply had to be the Best on the night....so.....why didn't it win when it received the most 12's of the night and it outshone every other song? Very fishy if you ask me!!! Ck

Ab-so-lute-leee !!! Could not agree more! It was the time when Yugoslavia was soon to break up (into the Balkan countries). And the winners were - Yugoslavia ! with a band called Riva and a pretty corney song called Rock me baby ! Live Report were very unlucky. At least Ray Caruana now has more versions of this great song and others, all on here , and still a great singing voice. Scarlet song for Malta (1994) is excellent too.

Wow, what a beautiful love song. And it came 2nd in the actual 1989 Contest itself. Brilliant - why doesn't someone freshen up the backing a little and sing it again today?

More recent live versions by Ray and a newer backing band are on here. Previously I posted to ask Ray if he's considering re-recording it some time. I really wish he would, but haven't any thing more since.

Overused presets and a highly boring overall 1989 Eurovision didn't help. Yet it is still objectively the best song in that Eurovision series.
