Some background on Beth Hart. She won Star Search in 1993. Had a contract with Atlantic Records and put out 3 albums. They then cut her loose due to her behaviors and addictions. She was writing songs and playing Beethoven on the piano at the age of 4. Beth was born severely bipolar. Father abandoned family for another woman. Eventually he reconciled with his children, except for Beth because she was "strange". Beth was ashamed of her bipolar, so she started self-medicating with booze and drugs at a young age. Became a full-blown heroin addict, was once arrested and even committed for a while. Beth has been clean and sober for several years now, and has even married. World renown blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa paired up with her. Sometimes they do shows together. They also tour separately. When Beth sings, she SANGS, because she's lived ... and surmounted ... the blues. This collaboration between Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart is a match made in heaven. The amount of emotion, soul and passion coming from both of them is palpable. I highly recommend that you also watch them perform “I’ll take care of you”. I can assure you that you will love their rendition of the song. Joe is playing a ‘51 Telecaster. Joe gives that Telecaster a voice. That face you see from Joe is called the guitar “Stank Face”.
