0:44 The King James Version among others here reflects an adversative “ BUT comely” despite the fact that the original Greek text uses a standard “AND.” This is one of the few places in the bible where color is an issue instead of culture. When she makes this statement it is a pro-active response based on standards reflecting noble human and personhood values.
