Usually he says everything an illusion, an apparition, non meditation, now he says he gets distracted by busy cities and its "wandering in samsara" before he said samsara and nirvana is one " So however poetic I guess never define things in extremes or deny both truths. Padmasambhava never did.

Longchenpa illustrates here his recognition of the foibles and difficulties of the prevalent cloud of samsaric immersion in relation to the path of true Dharma. This was prior to the phase of his writings during his final retreat at the cave and the wildwoods, from what I know. Isn't it fascinating though, that the points he is making also apply, (maybe even more so) to these tumultuous times of grand spectacles and simulations with innumerable distractions, proliferating entertainments and conceptual, bottomless rabbit holes? I think, in our practice, we can connect here emphatically with Longchenpa's vast mind and experience via this profound and poetic observation and move with him into the recognition of our nature in self-knowing awareness as kindred spirits in Ati, so to speak. Perhaps we are in the last phases of the Dharma Ending Age he divined then? If so, then the spread of Dzogchen is even more significant than might be evident, for it is said that it would become more available and bring many beings to their true nature in such a time before the end of that phase, and the rainbow body of light would shine with auspicious transformation within and without. What good fortune! It is akin to our highway sign to merge beyond left and right on the baseless road of immanent unity on the display of the Dzogchen GPS. You are now approaching Now. You are always here. This is it. Simply recognize! Recognition unsought. Thank you for spreading these ornate and fragrant lotuses of sheer profundity on the quiet lake of our study and practice in continuity!

First time hearing this, first time ever hearing of it. I began playing it when I was about to go to sleep- but I quickly realized how uncannily gloriously exactly this matches my own experience. A few years ago I felt pulled, almost violently, to come out here to live where I do now- in the wild woods. And I’ve come to realize that it was exactly for all these reasons. It’s like a retreat. Living here has become my meditation. So far away from the ills of the world that I’m able to blend with experience seamlessly. Ahhh 🙏✨

What a precious gift. To experience along with a luminous luminous light his Dark Night of the Soul. Far valuable than all the pointings. Heartbreakingly tragic as one weeps with the Master yet drinks in the elixir of his own pre-dawn moment of "Lord why have you forsaken me".

Mother Peter back for this Song. A scene has formed in my mind of late of how to paint an evocation of this longing for a wild wood home... the taunts of samsara are noise and rejection, so I'm clearing a way into the Enchanting Wildwoods, too.💐🌲🌲🌲🌳🌳🌳🌴🌴🌴🌷🌼🌻🌺🌹🌸

My deep gratitude for this wonderful reading . It came to me the moment I hoped to literally do a walk towards the woods. Seeing this magical song on my screen told me to just do it. Your voice step by step guided me to a highest point these woods , made me view a wonderful start of a sunset and brought me back to where I started making a complete round . It has been miraculous walk. I keep the peaceful forest in my heart and wish to take it with me wherever i go hoping it can be visible to all. So beautiful!Thank you dearly 💛

I like Rabjam's sense of urgency. _I must go to the wildwoods_ *right now* I guess I should be heading for the wildwoods. It's a bit scary, though. I'd be worried about finding enough food, but he does assure me: _In all four seasons,_ _Guiltless subsistence can be had_ _From readily available fruit, leaves, and roots._ Still, I'm not quite sure. Also, there's the danger of wild animals, I don't want to be ripped apart by a tiger. What do you think, should I go to the wildwoods and live there?

@@Fintan33: In the UK it would be 100% impossible to sustain yourself guiltlessly in the wildwoods; only in the natural human habitat, the tropical equatorial rainforests, is that possible. Hence why I specifically mentioned the tiger.
