This is the extravagant opening to the 1946 Walt Disney film ‘Song of the South’. All of the Mary Blair style art flashes across the screen mostly drawn by Marc Davis. The music by Sam Cowlow, sung by the Disney studio choir plays in beautiful harmony. This is a beautiful example of classic Walt Disney films.
This clip is just one of many clips on my channel , eventually the whole movie will be uploaded in small clips.

@@TheBrerPatch0:40 I wish people would edit the fine print at the bottom. They are out. It’s such a killjoy thought they put it in at all you know the characters and events in the photoplay are fictional. Any similarities to persons, living or dead should not be referred OK that’s a tissue of lies

A film break and re-splice has resulted in a frame or so missing. You see the picture jump a fraction before we hear the audio blip, which is what happens. Cheers

Is this really the whole movie? I have never seen it, but have really wanted to. Nothing makes me want to see a movie more then banning it.

It does leave you feeling happy, and really drawn to the warmness, and friendliness of Uncle Remus. The actor who played him was precious, and did a fantastic job. He is a very positive person.

1:02 British Narrator: Let me remind you that Uncle Remus was only a character of fiction, and the stories he has related to children were from the imagination of Joel Chandler Harris. Uncle Remus told these stories to help many people with their problems.

Since its initial release Song of the South has attracted controversy, with critics characterizing its portrayal of African Americans and plantation life as racist. As a result of the film's controversial legacy, Disney has not released the film on any home video format in the United States, and the film has never been available on its streaming platform Disney+. Some of the musical and animated sequences have been released through other means, and the full film has seen home video distribution in other countries, as well as fan-made 4K remasters that can be viewed at the Internet Archive. The cartoon characters from the film continued to appear in a variety of books, comics, and other Disney media for many decades after the film's release. The theme park ride Splash Mountain, located at Tokyo Disneyland and formerly located at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, is based on the film's animated sequences.

My favorite Character is Brer Rabbit, I think Brer Rabbit is a really great Disney character. I just feel bad that he debuted in a movie that's known to be racist. I also like the song Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah. I think it's a very happy song. Anyway, Brer Rabbit is a great guy and I don't think he's racist at all.

I just wanna be clear about something at the the credits below, that say, the characters and events in this photo are fictional nothing but a pack of live from my perspective. Besides, I think cartoon characters in the real world in who framed Roger rabbit that’s proof enough for me, that the words below, at the beginning, or a pack of lies.

0:39 can you read the bottom words? Can you believe another people putting them are the characters and events in this photoplay are fictional The only part about that I don’t believe is the cartoon characters courtesy of who framed Roger rabbit I’d say it was a cover-up just to disprove the existence of toon so it’s a pack of lies
