I see Uncle Remus as an extra grandfather to me because he reminds me of my maternal grandfather. Granddaddy loved to tell stories and his favorite story was of the day my mother was born.

Disney has removed this movie from their playlist because they say it is racist! I have seen this movie many times since I was a child and at no time did it ever seem racist. On the contrary, it always presented a very honorable and humanizing picture of people coming together and our similarities not our differences.
