Sam Coombes is so underrated … his song writing and especially lyrics are definitely up there and should not be considered “diet or lite”. Elliott Smith is my fave but I have a lot of time for this guy.

Sleater-Kinney awesome drummer Janet Weiss, ex-wife of Sam Coomes, is the drummer of Quasi. (And this album is much, much better that any Elliott Smith [though I'm fine with Smith]. ) Cheers.

Good observation about Elliott Smith. This song is actually about him. The singer and him were in the band Heatmiser together, toured together and played on each other's albums.
