That's the one thing most Asian fighters lack: elite wrestling & elite TDD. The Japanese are good in Judo, & some good in BJJ, too... but even that's just not enough. An aspiring champ will also need to incorporate very good wrestling, elite TDD, & elite BJJ into their game. Zhang was okay in wrestling before arriving at the UFC, and very good in BJJ; but she knew her wrestling must improve. Yan Xionan's biggest liability, for example, is her extreme lack of TDD & wrestling. That means while Zhang EASILY handled Carla's elite wrestling and then immediately subbed the elite wrestler, Yan was EASILY and brutally beaten up by tiny 5'1" Carla on the mat...
