this played at random as my music shuffled. i've heard this one and the english version a dozen times. i don't speak swedish. i have no idea what you're saying other than the fact that i've heard the english version a bunch of times. i can't tell which version i like better. this one seems a lot more genuine. if you were crying out to your god, or whatever it is you're crying out to, you would use your own language, right? this version seems a lot more personal than the english version, because english is a second language to you.

The english version is about wars in general. This is the opposite. The swedish version is about what war means to one person. One single person who could be anyone, on any side, figthing for any course. In the end it doesn't matter because he is just a body lying amongst many other. The english version is also great but the swedish has one of the most powerful lyrics of any song for me.
