Songkran 2024. Pattaya, Soi Buakhao. 🇹🇭

Each April, the Thai's celebrate their 'New Year' with a traditional colourful ritual of elaborate garments, good cheer & a liberal sprinkling of water (which was meant to symbolise cleansing and good fortune).
However, over the decades, the water sprinkling has taken more & more prevalence & has become wilder & wilder.
So much so, that many of the expats living in the tourist spots usually take this time to get away from the busier cities (& even the country) until the over-the-top revelry has abated.
This is Soi Buakhao (one of many streets where the occasion is being celebrated).
