Used to see this commercial all the time while watching Cartoon Network, especially Ed Edd n Eddy and Toonami. I remember actually singing "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" and "He Has Made Me Glad" in church years before this commercial first aired. I still get a kick out of the one clip where everyone is jumping around.

I purchased a number of these albums back around 2006 and 2007 becasue it was the only way I could get this kind of music new since the old albums from the 80's and 90's and been discontinued. Now I don't even think they make these anymore.

I remember my Grandmother would watch The God Channel and this advert would come on *a lot*. I'm actually an atheist now that I'm much older and have come into my own but I do get joy from remembering religious things like this from my childhood

Back in the early 2000s era during the golden age of Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon (if I recall the channels correctly), and at least two other TV networks in which I barely remember... Yeah, to be honest, I just go to another channel for a bit until those ads finish and then I return to the original channels I was watching.

I don't see moving your body to music as a form of control. When your listening to a song that you like and you get into it, you naturally want to bob your head, tap your foot or move your body and sway to the music. It's not something your forced into doing, but rather something you feel.

Because religion is a nut nowadays with crazy people claiming to be Christians and yet being total assholes/douches in society. I've been atheist my whole life, yet I have a mother claiming to be Catholic and just beat the hell out of me if I didn't go to church on Sundays or on certain weekdays involving religious holidays. -_-
