This show, as silly as the premise was, struck a deep chord within me. It doesn't have any particular parallels with my own life, and it seems so far fetched to assume that an agent dad would be placed in charge of his agent son (fraternization is frowned upon). That being said this show and story affected me on a fundamentally human level. For anyone that has struggled to understand what it all means, anyone that strives to fit their choices into a framework that resembles an honorable one, for that one this story is powerful and resonant.

Wow. I have watched the show (both seasons) maybe 8 or 9 times from beginning to end but never saw from your point of view. It is such an interesting insight. I watch it more for the artistic brilliance - sometimes I just listen to it because there is a musical quality to the dialogue. And there great stretches of silence which I also love. Every shot is so beautifully composed - like a painting. The opening credit sequence in Season 2 is beyond brilliant. Dornan's performance is remarkable even though he really doesn't say that much. I love that shot of him in the cafe after his father tells him to shoot the physicist's wife - the way his face contorts and he crumbles as the words to American Pie get louder - "can music save your moral soul?". Thank you for posting your thoughts.

I can sum this up in 2 words: FUCKING BRILLIANT. Also, if you haven’t seen Steven Conrad’s following project PERPETUAL GRACE LTD. It a must, my favourite tv show EVER,I liked even more than Patriot which is a huge statement. Disappointed the mainstream public just haven’t resonated with these shows. I hope Conrad doesn’t give up. He’s the best.

I don't think Conrad cares if the shows catch on. He just makes stuff for himself and if you like it, then that's just your luck.

@@fortestudios still sucks that he’s such a talent, amongst all the crap we get served, it’s just fucked up.

@@kylieporter4082 It is, but I do think the fact that he's creating for such a narrow audience is what allows his work to be so unique, and makes it special when you do connect with it.

@@fortestudios What’s so savage about Perpetual Grace Ltd. is it didn’t get the reach, nobody had a chance to love it because hardly anybody has heard of it Breaking Bad wasn’t popular at all after the first season. I don’t believe PGL was given a chance. Fuck Epix for that bullshit they pulled. Still angry.

Y’all should check out Perpetual Grace Ltd. A lot of the same cast & crew, just as good (in fact, I preferred it)
