this segment started in 2022 caratland because of wonwoo who did jeon somi's dumb dumb which become viral (among caratland and svt themselves). not technically because of him. all of them did the song but that become dedicated for wonu because how crazy his was. they (svt) were OBSESSED with wonu's somi dance. and now caratland tradition has more from only the unit reverse and now added with the song that doesn't suit them. usually weeks or days before the day they will ask carats for input (usually seungkwan). but this segment always have pattern to it. like how coups always has to do with his ass (asscoups for a reason). jeonghan always hiphop because of his yoonzino lore. shua always rap because he isn't one to rap usually, but his performance is always members' favorite and get the most hyped because of how crazy they are, shua nickname is mc cloud when he raps. also woozi is ALWAYS new jeans (his weverse name now is new ujins). and boo always with sexy themed song because of his boonambo name (basically the manly side of boo). caratland days are always a crazy day for carats.

17:59 for Hoshi, this is why carat having some trouble to choose songs that doesn't suit him. We knew that Hoshi will slay every songs, doesn't matter if it girl group song or boy group song. That's why we chose the hamtori song for him for 2023, because we knew he is against hamster😂

Since you guys already checked out these performances, unit reverses and GOLM performance, I have another recommendation for you from recent Caratland... Seventeen has a pre debut song called 'Shining Diamond'.. (That song is so precious to both SVT and Carats cuz it was the first song they released under the name Seventeen and members wrote, produced and choreographed it by themselves without any help from their mentors.. It has a Music Video as well..) And they performed that decade old song once again in this Caratland... (Well.. Actually they did perform it few times throughout the past years as well but still it's emotional to see it every single time.. That's why I strongly recommend it..) Plus, there are some fan edited videos of this song that shows SVT's 2014 performance to this song and their 2024 caratland performance side by side.. You guys must check them out sooner or later... 🥺🥺❤❤ Well.. Idk when we'll get the next SVT reaction or if you both already have something else chosen for the next reaction.. But if so, you can just check this out later one day.. No pressure or whatever.. I just wanted to recommend this with a lil' explanation... That's all..

so to give some context since they are punishment for losing game/s, they are usually requests from carats or what they feel like they can perform that don't fit them but for this year for Joshua it's neither since it was the members' request and he did not show them how he practiced it. you can watch (on your own) the ones from their official channel since they have both a shorts version and a "videos" (horizontal) version which shows the members' reactions as well. but like you'd have to watch each vid multiple times to be able to see all that is happening hahaha

This was so much fun! I hoped there was also the 2022 ones, the beginning of it all... For added context. These are actually "penalty" songs. They play games and whichever team loses, the members will perform their assigned songs as a penalty. Caratland usually have 2 or 3 days so it's possible that a member don't get to lose on a day but most of them did these more than once (they kinda make everyone perform by the last day lol). So, yes, please do search for the fuller versions, watch them and you'll have a much brighter day!
