Sampling is such a weird topic because there are some cases like future funk where it's essentially a remix mashup with a bunch of other songs which is cool and then we get stuff like Crystal Dolphin which just rips off the song. I think Tyler the Creator also is very borderline as well though not nearly to the same degree. Tldr if you're gonna sample a song actually change it up instead of just essentially putting a filter over it. Otherwise it's like a remix that doesn't credit the original.
