Songs That Tell Her Side of the Story: Esme Patterson at TEDxMileHigh

Esmé Patterson's songwriting is at the heart of the folk & roll explosion in Colorado's Front Range. In this captivating performance, Esmé sings the stories of three women made popular in songs written by men from their subject's point of view, turning object to subject.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. "And no one knows why but me." That's a great point. Kinda taking back a very private thing between two people. You know and I know, but the world at large will just project their own relationship woes onto the song. They don't know both sides of the story. They don't really know who they side with and they don't really care. They only view the song as a lens to view their own struggles.

There is more......um....stuff on youtube than you can shake a stick and not that much of it is rubbish. It is super rare though, to find something......someone so delicious, so clever, so charming...just so damned good. Clever on its own can be dull and worthy. Delicious on its own wears thin. Charming is nice but you need some edge sometimes. This is just so damned good
