Wow! I was stationed at Osan from 2006-2007 and Kunsan from 2013-2015. Osan has changed a lot! Many fun times there!

Yes it changed a lot, the businesses comes and go, although some have stayed strong and survived during the pandemic. Would you go back to Korea again?

Vastly different from when I was there (1985 - 1988). Back then, going down past the railroad tracks was off limits. The bars stayed open till 04:00 when I first got there in '85. Speaking of bars, I hardly saw any. It looks like "the Ville" (as we called it) is now all shops and restaurants.

Wow. I was there 92-93 then again in 95-96. It's alot different now cleaned up I actually lived above the heavy metal club in 95-96. Best time ever

@@marvinmiraflor1257 no because I was the DJ at the club so it was quiet once I got home.lol. ya know I'm 50 yrs old now and I would love to come back to osan the get a civilian job. Would you happen to know how that could be done?

Awesome video, I was stationed here 3x and I'm retired now but I still think about good ole Osan. I noticed they made more apartment complex. Beer and Rio Grill got me fat! Thanks for the video, it was cool to look back again. My favorite base by far!

@@marvinmiraflor1257 My first time there was 2003-2004, 2006-2007 & 2009-2014. I retired (USAF) out of Osan. I have so much good memories there, I really want to go back as a GS. Is the Mustang club still open? I always go there to get my cappucino. Pool, Beer, and Eat was all I did. You brought back good times for me...missing it!

I'm jealous of you guys stationed there more than once. My first assignment in Korea was Osan 82-83 then Kunsan 97-98, and 2002-2003. Still have my custom mother of pearl dresser with large mirror on top I got at a local factory down toward end of main street then off a side street. Place sure has changed! Thank you for taking this. I still remember the ally ways and side streets not to mention the clubs.

The Boogie House is still there in Aragon Alley... I was there 26 years ago. Wonder if they still serve snake shots there? It was soju poured from a bottle that had a large snake in it. Smelled horrible, but you earned a Boogie House t-shirt if you could down five shots. The trick to doing that was to not breathe through your nose and down all five shots quickly. If you allowed yourself to smell the shots, you probably wouldn't make it through drinking all five.

Wow the doll shop is a 7/11 now ? Used to be where we exchanged our dollars, they always had a better exchange rate than the base. The base ignored it, had dolls in the windows but just a desk and a few chairs. Place sure has changed. Where’s the old lady as soon as you walk out the gate, “you want nice young girl” ! Worked tons of overtime there, we were #1 in the squadron for overtime, 51st CES plumbing shop up in hill 170 right next to the water plant, they were putting the primary power underground while I was there, we used to have like 3 water main breaks a week they were always hitting them. Only 5 of us in the shop, had a good time there though and great group of guys, few times they had to search town to find us and come back and fix a water main or some drunk took out a fire hydrant. Good times.

I was there 2013 and its been a 7/11, there’s a dollar exchange still right next to 7/11. Songtan Sally wasn’t captured in this video and I didn’t see her when I was there from 2017-2020. The “Flowah Lady” was captured on this video tho. Haha ya definitely busy base but there’s always something to look forward to after work and during the weekends. The camaraderie makes a big difference here especially when you get a chance to go out with our Korean counterpart whether they are civilian or ROKAF.

@@marvinmiraflor1257 well the flower lady is easily like a 100 then, 😂 I was there 35 years ago and she was old then. There used to be a hose bib right outside the main gate to where we provided the town potable water, they were always lined up with containers getting drinking water, their water was like being in Mexico, never drink it. Town certainly has been upgraded, that base is their livelihood though. Do they still you not to cross the railroad tracks ? Buddy of mine got stopped by the knp when I was there, took all his money, watch, even his sneakers but he didn’t get arrested.

@@bluecollarwatches7048 railroad is still there and we can walk there with no issues. They installed cctv everywhere now to reduce their crime rate and it actually works. Oh wow water is still a thing there which I love but not on SED. Malls usually have filtered water where you can get free water using a water cup. You can’t really get thirsty there. You don’t see KNP there anymore, GIs are the ones that control the craziness there now at night. Korea really improve so fast you should visit again. My apartment there was the nicest one I got in my career. It was so high tech, even my fridge got a wifi lol.
