Thank you for mentioning how you would have felt about the artwork when you were younger. I didn’t realize until I read your comment that I would have felt the same when I was younger, and quite possibly had these exact thoughts when viewing similar works. But it is such a mystery and somehow unfathomable to me, that they mean so much to me today 20 and 30 years later. Jesus truly is a wonder and as I experience more of Him, with the greatest invitation to follow Him and His example, my heart is overflowing. I hope and pray and ask my Heavenly Father to give me the strength to do His will.

It is Hard to look at these comforting pictures and this soothing song when the your life isn’t the “perfect Christian life” that other Christian’s have, when you wish you were never born…but you keep going hanging on to a sliver of Hope, that God may remember me, whom he once created…out of dust

The irony is that the "perfect looking" Christian family is probably dealing with tons of hidden trauma. Remember, Jesus hands, unlike the pictures, have scars from his traumatic death on the cross and betrayal. If anyone can relate to you, Jesus can. I'm praying for you 🙏❤️🙏

How could you be more valuable to him than his own life? Comfort yourself with the word of God. Feelings will lead you astray. Jesus has a new life for you so take it because it is yours. Jesus paid a heavy price to give it to you. To wipe your shame away and to sit you next to him on his throne. What an honor! This is who our God is. I'm a 39 years old male, but I go to a seniors service on Wednesday evenings at my church with my mentor. She is a wonderful lady who volunteers at the recovery centre I'm currently living at.
