Hi Lexi, fantastic review! So happy they sent this beautiful brush your way bc you so deserve the recognition for your stellar work. Love the shape of the brush head and the denseness of the hair. Sonia makes fabulous brushes and you wanting another only speaks to how great they truly are! 👏👏

Thank you Kelly! Yes the budget planning is tough! I wish there weren't so many great things that all come out at the same time. We had a bit of a dead zone for a while and it would have been nice to have things spaced out a bit more.

Hi Lexi! Congrats of being gifted this new addition to the Sonia G family of brushes. This brush is very tempting, given especially that the quality of hair it is made with is in limited supply. Thank you for the great, uber-complete, set of comparisons! I look forward to seeing you use this new brush.

HI Lexi - I am fresh back from my holiday and catching up with some make up tutorials so when I saw you had just posted I dived in to watch. Very interesting brush by Sonia G and also was so informative seeing all the comparisons - a dizzying array of brushes and all different so that was great to watch! May I just say how well deserved it was for you to receive the brush in PR - you really deserve this recognition by Sonia G and Beautylish so many congrats to you 😊👏

Thanks Lexi. It's a definite must have from me. Sonia G's info on this brush appeared in my Google News Feed yesterday. I was hoping Beautylish sent this to you so you could review it before I place my order. I have to get out of bed at 3am to place my order. By the way, I also wash my brushes much more frequently than other people say they do. I haven't noticed any early signs of wear and tear. Nighty night from Down Under.

Thank you Gail! I'm glad I'm not the only one who washes their brushes a lot. I haven't had any wear and tear on my brushes either - even my Soft Shaders that I use every day. Lol! Sweet dreams!

Such a thorough review. I’ve got all the large face brushes from Sonia G and rephr so I don’t need this. But I’m sure I’ll cave and get it because it’s so pretty. BTW, I love when I’m up with my insomnia at 2:00 am and you come through with a new video😍

@LexiJong2 жыл бұрын

Oooh such a pretty brush. I do not use any powder makeup on my dry, mature skin unfortunately. Do u think it would work with cream and/or liquid products since it all goat hair? Thank you. Oops disregard - you just commented on my question - darn. I love her brushes but not all work for me because I don’t use powder formulations. 🙂
@LexiJong2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately dyed goat hair is not recommended for cream products. You will want to look at an undyed goat hair option or something synthetic. You may want to check out the T series from Chikuhodo or the rephr 22 for something similar. Thank you so much for watching!
@llovesluxe2 жыл бұрын
@@LexiJong Thanks - I have most of the Sonia G that can be used with creams and liquids but am a sucker for her brushes as they are so pretty and blue is my favorite color…lol. I have several Rephr which are a close favorite to SG. Always enjoy your thorough reviews!
@mariam.a.2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm I am still missing a big brush from Sonia G for finishing powder, but I am not yet convinced this is the right one. I think my faves for that are stiffer so they work across different formulas. Decisions...decisions..

It looks like it has the same shape of my beloved Tom Ford bronzer brush (goat hair version), good to know that now there is another natural hair brush option available, since TF went synthetic......

Is this jumbo bronzer washed and "bloomed" already?
@LexiJong2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is! I always wash my brushes before using them. If you check out my reel on instagram or my tik tok, that is before washing. There was not a lot of bloom after washing and drying with this brush.

I just bought 2 Rephyr 24 brushes in the recent sale. They are more airy than I expected. I am looking for a stiffer brush to help me with two Chanel baked gelee products that have somewhat seized up. It’s a dual pan bronzer from a few years ago and the split pan peach embossed blush/highlighter duo. I don’t think tape will help, and I am trying to avoid scraping off the beautiful embossing with a spoolie. If you can think of a stiff brush that won’t exactly scratch the products but still remove some powder, I’d be so grateful. No biggie though, I might have to break down and scrape 😫😭
@LexiJong2 жыл бұрын
You may have to scrape but I would suggest trying a firmer foundation brush. I'm not sure what you have in your collection but something like the Koyudo F-02 if you have something that shape or something like the rephr 30 or surratt foundation brush. Or one of the Artis brushes which are very dense. Sometimes those super dense brushes help with the hard pan issue but still keep the embossing fairly intact. I would try pinching the base of the bristles of the 24 brush and see if that makes a difference for pick up first though. My 24s are original but they are pretty firm so I am surprised to hear yours are airy. I'm not sure if they have changed them at all since they debuted.
