Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I have never been overly wowed by anything I've tried from Lisa Eldridge. I will try the new lipstick if she releases any lighter and cooler colours. All of hers are pretty dark, and they snap very easily

I love the lipsticks and glosses I purchased from her earlier launches but I'm not a huge fan of her shadows (I own Vega & Myth), blush, or foundation formulas and all of her Liquid Lurex shadows and liquid highlighters are too dark and/or warm toned for me. At this point, I'm no longer excited about the brand's new releases, especially when it's so often just more lip products

I tried her velvet muse lipstick after seeing all the rave reviews. It was horrible. The colour itself didn't flatter my skintone and the formula was not a comfortable matte. It was so drying! I think Charlotte Tilbury matte revolution is a wayyy better formula. I've stayed away from purchasing anything from LE ever since. I feel she's good at doing up the story and aesthetics but the actual products fall short. Unfortunately, product quality and performance matters most to me at that price point. The story, marketing, packaging is all secondary. Her launches are also pretty underwhelming. Nothing innovative or unique- especially her coloured balm launch. That's like Maybelline babylips or burt's bees tinted balms. I don't find it impressive at all when makeup artists release products like that. Feels like a cash-grab.

I’m surprised to hear the negative feedback about Lisa Eldridge launches. I haven’t found them annoying or overhyped, but I also really enjoy the brand. The lipstick case looks clunky in the preview pic, but I’m still excited to try the new formula. She develops her color ranges so thoughtfully!

@@bonraerieger I think it’s those of us who need truly cool toned nudes etc that feel left out. All her shades advertised and photographed as cool are neutral at best. I think if you have the skin tone to pull of reds and warm nudes her line would be stellar. I also would like to see more nuance to her shades in general like a sheer black in the baume formula etc. I love her artistry though she is so very talented!

@@bonraerieger I think her problem is she isn't releasing anything different from what's already offered in the saturated beauty market. When Lisa announced her beauty brand, I expected it to be similar to Kevyn Aucoin in terms of sophistication and quality. Hers however has just been like a high-end version of Milani. Her lipstick colours are not different or unique or easy to work with. Usually makeup artist's lines tend to be intentional and offer products that work how you want them to. The problem with a lot of run-of-the-mill brands is that their formulas tend to fall short- they lack balance. Is like a great mascara- you want it to last through the day without smudging, flaking. But you also want to dab your cleansing milk and have it come off without having to rub hard and lose half of your lashes. So far I don't see any standout in her line except her price point being too high. Also I don't expect a ground-breaking lipstick as long you don't market it as such.

Even after expanding the Liquid Lurex and highlight lines, everything is still too dark for my very fair skin or warm. Why can't brands release shadows in shades like pale icy taupe, silvery lilac, light cool lavender gray or highlights in pale cool pink or ivory? Her liquid highlight originally had 3 shades, all golds, and when consumers asked for lighter cool toned options, she adds one, Pink Moon, also with a warm undertone

I am an Emerald with LE and I am disappointed in the launch news as well. The packaging looks like a match for the eyeshadow palettes, which I’ve always thought looked and felt a bit cheap. I have purchased most everything and the OG matte lipsticks, the liquid eyeshadows, especially the new mattes, and the treatment cleanser/mask are the only products that are worth repurchasing for me. Her eyeshadows all went impossible to pick up for me after one use, no matter the brush (I have fancy brushes of every kind); I even purchased the new single Uptown from her Fawn palette and after two uses, it’s already doing the same thing and will not pick up. My lipstick purchases this season will be Guerlain 207, and a new Chanel 31 Rouge refill for the case I bought last year.

To be fair, all brands hype their ingredients and supposed innovation in an effort to stand out in a highly saturated market where everything seems the same. Emotional marketing in the beauty industry is nothing new nor is induced product scarcity but at this point, real innovation is rare so it can be frustrating to hear brands tout it all the time about same/same products.

Hi Lexi - I recently purchased a VB eyeliner in an eggplant shade and also tried her mascara. I really liked both and will continue to order the mascara. I was disappointed in the color story of Lisa Eldridge’s last launch of liquid eyeshadow - I ordered the shade that looked mauve online but was actually more brown. I really like these videos! So much to talk about! For one, I think the Lisa Eldridge lipstick is exciting. I love her lipstick formulas and have been dying for new shades. I think the fluted case looks very art deco 1920s to me. Very LE. Victoria Beckham has a loyalty program now - so one free shipping item if you spent more than $80 in the past year, all things ship free if you spent more than $250. I imagine you fall into one of those categories and can get the new eyeliner shipped free!

I just received my DG lipsticks today along with their new foundation. They are really nice. The lipstick format us in the thin tubing. I ordered mine in the gold package. The foundation is like a soft matte but maintains some natural glow. Beautiful and very comfortable. Ingave normal to dry skin. Im 48 .

Another unpopular opinion about Lisa’s brand. I stopped trying Lisa’s products quite awhile ago because they just weren’t all that good in regards to formulations. Products I tried caused my skin to get that orange peel texture, the lipsticks caused my lips to flake, the eyeshadows irritated my eyes. Alas! Her products just aren’t for me. I also dislike all the contrived stories she tells about the color names. She tries to create a mystical allure around the product based on the name rather than on the product itself. Someone in marketing probably told her that her customers love the stories and I’m sure her fan base does, but it just doesn’t resonate well with me. That being said, I do wish her success in her business venture because she seems like such a genuinely nice person who really does want to create beautiful products.

I have to say I am honestly disappointed with the new Lisa Eldridge launch. I honestly thought it was gonna be something new to the collection. I didn’t expect another lipstick. I was hoping maybe a bronzer or setting powder. I know she said her blushes are coming back soon and next year she’s coming out with a concealer. Until I see reviews of her new lipstick, I think I’ll pass.

Was hoping for a bronzer too! I do love pretty much every item i bought from her. Her lippies, liquid eyeshadows, foundation and skintint are, imo the best in the market...for my skin. And i've tried a lot, high end and drugstore, they all become an oompa loompa oilslick. I honestly gave up until i gave her foundation a go. I now have 4 shades lol and 2 skintints. Amazing. Hi Lexi, thank you for providing this useful and helpful information regarding new releases. I think visually, the YSL blushes look the most compelling bc they are reminiscent of colourful macarons imo lol but it's been a blush heavy year so I'll have to see if they are well received. I'm unfortunately not very excited for the Lisa Eldridge lipstick launch and I don't like the shape or texture of the casing. Everything is personal preference but it's not calling for me. I'm also the type of person who would like a case for every lipstick and I could see this being quite a cost investment if one was to purchase more than one. ND will continue to release more palettes so if this one isn't speaking to you don't let the limited edition fomo get to you if you only like half the shades. I was initially interested in the Patrick Ta duos but at $42 US they're way overpriced sadly. I also saw one side of the pan drop out of someone who has access to them early and while she was extremely professional about it, it made me question taking that chance at that price. Definite buys for me: *YSL Blushes- I absolutely cannot wait. Their powders are lovely. *VB orchid eyeliner. I’m not paying shipping for one thing either, but I’ll get it eventually. I’m sad the new silver isn’t a single or in a set you can pick the other shades. I’d love to have it, but I have every other shade in that set. *D&G lipsticks- They look beautiful. I will wait for your review to pick which finishes and shades to try, but I will definitely try them. *ND Roxa- Already bought it. I love all purples. Maybe: *LE new lipstick- The build up for this is baffling. It’s a refillable lipstick. I’m more excited for the 2 new eyeshadow palettes that are coming. If there is a color I love I might try one. We know u have 1 of the LE shades lol your lipstick shade looks exactly like the shade LR is wearing in the promo pic😂 i am disappointed she has a ton of lipsticks i was hoping it was a blush or concealer something that she doesnt have. PTA is crazy priced for his brand ?? That is like lux prices it needs to be amazing I think even if it was like 38$ people would have been more hyped about it even if it is a few dollars less it makes people think they are getting alittle bit better value and are more app to buy. The VB shade looks nice I'll probably order it when I order something else or during her free ship free liner or whatever it is sale she does in Nov. I don't know why she didn't do the silver shade single that sucks. The Rabanne eyeshadow I saw the more toupe shade which I thought I was going to get but I saw the swatches and it looks freaken black with sparkles not toupe so I'm skipping that. Skipping ND I don't like all the pink. The YSL powder blushes are a yes but of course it launches on Jan 1 after we all spent a ton on holiday releases and gifts lol. I am kinda interested in the TF new quad if it's cooler in swatches. That BB quad looks like PM quad 😂 why ?? It's been done 100 times over. Idk I'm not that excited about any of these really. More excited about the Huda release pallet and 2 new liquid blush shades and that's not even luxury and I never get super excited over Huda either. Supposedly it's her last bigger pallet she is ever doing. I swatched the Makeup by Mario pallet last night in store and I wasn't that Impressed for the money it felt dry and very glittery so I'm glad I saw it in person I didn't want to have FOMO for not getting it but now I'm not that into it heard the doll10 was more lux feeling cheaper and it's literally a shade for shade color match that was done first and it remindes me of Vega which I own.

It’s fine to want to create hype around a new formula, but please don’t call it innovative and ‘world first’ and five years in the making blah blah when all brands out there are constantly coming up with new formulas. Wow! I just love that lip shade on you. Lisa's new packaging doesn't bother me. She's needed a satin for a while. But I have her mattes and glosses and I never wear them. Plus I returned her Luxuriously Lucent. I'm just not crazy about her lipstick formulas. So I'll wait and see. Those Dolce and Gabbana lipsticks look lovely. I really like their color choices. But I need reviews for formulas before I try them. Also, the nail colors look interesting. Did you ever try them? My problem with La Bouche Rouge is that their website pictures bear no resemblance to reality. Or maybe they're just not for me. But mistakes are expensive because neither they nor Bergdorf's take makeup returns once you've tried it on. I'm interested in the YSL blushes. Like you, I like the color range. Also, I love the YSL eye shadow formula. If these have that same creamy texture, they could be dreamy on the face. Thanks for the review. I've purchased from almost every one of Lisa's releases, starting with the first red Velvet matte lipsticks (Velvet Jazz is still a favorite) and I love her satin & sheer formulas and glosses but I'm tired of the seemingly endless lip products and have no desire for more. I'm personally not a huge fan of her shadow formulas (I own Vega & Myth), the foundation is ok, I'm still waiting for pale cool toned Liquid Lurex shadows and I had no interest in the skincare products so my interest and excitement for the brand in general as waned significantly.

NO PATRICK TA $42 for two is RIDICULOUS. DONT do it. It’s way too high , I mean that’s Chanel , DIOR, ETC. PRICING he isn’t luxury or had a name even long enough to be in ND OR PM OR EVEN DM. That’s INSANE and he said they are for use with other shadows and toppers. Sorry. It makes me salty. Are they pretty ? Yes , But for $42. Not worth a buy. In MY opinion.
