Something maybe Sonja hadn't intended but the genius of this set for me is because I am very short sighted. I have to hold a mirror very close to my face to see what I'm doing and the length of these brushes balance with the other hand. 👏

Agreed! Getting quality brushes w short handles is important for a lot of reasons. For us, it's where our sight makes us stand in relation to the mirror. For others, it might be a mobility issue, or even a hand shape that works better for makeup with a shorter brush. I want more high quality, short handled brushes!

I bought this set immediately when it was released. I have a ton of brushes but my favorite by far are the Sonia G original Keyaki set so I was super excited when she announced these!! They are the PERFECT fit for my hands & they fit so beautifully in the makeup pouches I put in my purse!! I hope she does a full Keyaki Eye Set next!

I was missing so many from the first launch and I was so excited when she launched these. I feel so fancy with these handles. I can now achieve pretty much everything I would normally do and just pack these sets. I will only need to grab one or two others. So beautiful. I dont buy brush sets, as I have more than I need, except with Sonia G!!

I got this set because of your review. I can't wait to get it. I'm so sad I missed out on the first one, I really want that mini base with the short handle! It seems backwards to make this LE, travel-sized or mini versions are very smart IMO. I'm going to take this with me on vacation since they'll fit in my little makeup bag!

Jumbo base is the only brush i don't have from the fusion set. So i was thrilled to see it in the keyaki because that meant I would still get it! I love the 1st keyaki, so getting this 2nd set was a no-brainer for me. Much appreciation for the video for more ideas on how to use the new brushes. ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for the review! At first, I wasn't sure how different it was going to be from the first Keyaki set that I purchased. I called Beautylish on release day and they explained that it was meant to complementary to the first version. I received my set on Friday and I love it so far! Especially, the Jumbo Base😊

I loved this video Alicia and always look forward to seeing your thoughts on new products. You’re always very thorough. I LOVE this set do much that I purchased two. I’d always regretted not buying two of the original Keyaki set. One for travel, the other for every day. I have fabulous brushes, most of which have been purchased on Beautylish, but the ones I’m gravitating toward now are the short handles and smaller brush heads. Perfect for someone like me with a small face and the need to use a magnifying mirror as I’m aging. The shorter handles are easier to maneuver and I’ve found that I prefer them. I think that with the Keyaki 2 set you can do it all.

Ohh I loved seeing them in the Vertical pouch! I’ve been on the hunt for an appropriate way to travel with them since I bought the first Keyaki set. Have you ever done a review of this?? I’d love to see how much it fits and how it packs. I did a quick KZbin search and couldn’t find anything. All the makeup bags/brush cases I’ve tried are all for longer handled brushes and I feel like it defeats the purpose of the set…I could just take full size brushes then.

I was disappointed in this set... because I didn't want to have to buy a travel brush set. I go for an extremely natural look and never use eyeshadow so my favorite brushes to date (which could make up 90% of my brush use) are the soft cheek, jumbo base, and soft concealer from Sonia G. I can't tell if I'm going to prefer the jumbo worker over the soft concealer, but obviously the other 2 of the three being included in the set make it too hard to pass up. The fact that the remaining 2 brushes aren't completely useless to me is a perk. Having bought this set I think I'm now safe from needing to buy anything travel in the future unless her next mini set includes a version of the smooth buffer and some sort of super soft/wispy powder brush that covers more space than the soft face or is more a highlighter size). I bet the next travel set has the lotus style fan/base brush though (which I'd safely decided never to buy since I didn't want to buy the set until it came out as a single)

That’s a tough one: soft concealer versus jumbo worker! I would say SC has a little more versatility, and perhaps ideal for one who doesn’t sue a ton of concealer. It’s a great nook and cranny brush. This set I think aligns more with your makeup approach given your fab designs. Especially since there are only two designated eye brushes in this set, and the first had three.
