As she passes through the square for a final time the taxi comes to a halt with Martin and Rebecca sitting on a suitcase in the middle of the road. Could there yet be a happy ending for Sonia? Aww, forgot all about this ending. Must be a happy memory for the Chloe/Bex character. Martin Fowler is one of the few EE characters to have a total redemption Arc, turning from shady & selfish to completely heroic. Jay Brown & Vincent Hubbard are two more, but I can't think of many others. Most EE characters first introduced as bullies/villains/antagonists/criminals usually revert back to questionable behaviour at some point - even if temporarily, like Ben & Billy.

I would never cry like that in front of a complete stranger. Maybe quietly to myself, but not have a nervous breakdown in a taxi. That poor taxi driver! Lol

Star tracker Eastenders taxi drivers have seen it all though. Nothing shocks them anymore and everyone in the square knows it. The whole "You ain't my mother!" "YES I AM" scene could've happened in the back of the cab and the driver would just get on with his sudoku

@nigelharman18 Sonia and Martin had a one night stand back in early 2000. Sonia thought it was behind her, and she started up a relationship with Jamie Mitchell (or maybe they already were, I don't know...). At any rate, in October 2000, Sonia was having cramps, and was feeling immense pain, and the Slaters ran over to help her, when Mo revealled to Sonia that she was in labour. This came as a shock to Sonia, as she didn't know she was pregnant! :D

That was a great ending for Martin, Sonia and Bex. James Alexandrou is the best Martin Fowler in my opinion.

why is she returning to eastenders? it's the same with kat and alfie what more can they offer in eastenders they have been there and got the t-shirt, the eastenders producers should be bring fresh faces in not tired old ones, i mean carol and robbie jackson? I think eastenders is going to go back with that old depressing look with these characters coming back
