Sonia played a huge part in making all of humanity ignore the monstrous nature of Apostles and side with Griffith and I firmly believe that is the reason many readers hate her. She is a great character to hate, because even with all of her abilities, she is still too blind to see who and what Griffith truly is. At first I thought that Sonia would just get too jealous of Charlotte (and now, maybe even Casca) and do something stupid and horrible, which in turn would force Griffiths hand into killing her. After thinking it through though, I would prefer, that she could have a moral ascending character arc, which leads to her betraying Griffith, her redemption and finally death. On the other hand I'm fine with her staying true to Griffith and siding against team Guts instead. I do not believe she will live all the way to the end and I hope her death will be iconic in a way that she will realize that in the end she could not fly with the Hawk of Light after all.

i think first and foremost griffith will try to make both casca and guts join his new band of the hawk in demonic form... he wants to possess them, passively or actively, as he was back in the golden age. the love triangle of guts, casca and griffith consists of each one having what the other one wants.... guts wants cascas and griffith has her, whilst griffith wants guts and casca has him.

Let's talk about Casca for a moment, she's of course going to be overwhelmed and bewildered by the kingdom but she's also not going to want to be there...knowing she was taken away. That is going to lead to Sonia inquiring more as to why Casca doesn't want to be a part of this just like the intrigue she felt with Rickert...I predict there's going to be a triangulation of Guts' Party , Rickert, Skull knight and ultimately Casca and Sonia coming together in Falconia to wage spiritual war in Griffiths kingdom.

The reality is this - Griffith cannot be beaten by normal conventional means. I believe that Sonia and guts’ crew (as well as rickert and them) will somehow turn the general populace against Griffith, no longer seeing him as a godly figure which will ultimately take away his power and influence. The god hand and their powers is all rooted in legitimacy; if the belief against them is strong enough by a large mass of people gathered in Falconia for example then I believe that will be the turning point.

i'm glad this video dropped, I've been thinking the whole day about how Rickert slapped Griffith and how he responded with "It seems I've been rejected" his tone showed that slight bit of humanity he had left in him. Now fast forward to this chapter and Griffith has brought Casca to Falconia because (from what I assume) what Rickert told him stayed in his mind "I am led, by the white winged Griffith. I am Rickert of The Band Of The Hawk. The Falcon of Light, is not my commander" I think this is also one of the reasons that Griffith brought Casca to Falconia, he built a false band of the Hawk but still yearns for the people who he actually mattered to him (I.E Rickert, Casca and Guts). So what does he do since he was rejected by someone who once would have gone to hell and back for him. He invades Elfhem, captures Casca and brings her back to Falconia. Griffiths desire to have what he lost is going to be what causes his downfall. Sonia will peer into Casca's mind, see the former band of the hawk, the eclipse and what Griffith did to Casca because now that Casca finally has her memory back, she can recall what happened to her in very gruesome detail, and this will end up being the cause of the eventual downfall off Falconia. My head-canon says that Sonia will see this, deny this, ask Casca if it really happened and once Casca says yes. Sonia's perspective of Griffith will change and this sets of the chain reaction that will be Griffiths dream falling like a giant jenga tower. Or Guts wakes up and finds out it was all a dream lol

Griffith got rid of emotions and attachment when he was reborn Griffith after becoming femto. His emotions for casca stem from the moonlight boy and he probably has feelings for her like a child to a mother.
@RealLifeIronMan2 жыл бұрын
@@whitedragoness23 That has been a popular opinion for many years. However, we have been getting small hints through the years that Griffith is not as detached and unemotional as we thought. Much of his human pettiness and need for validation from others still remains. That is why he assaulted Casca, took over the body of Guts' son, formed a new band of the Hawk, formed a kingdom, surrounds himself with lowly humans that look up to him, and abducted Casca. It's not all a master plan. It's pettiness and insecurity. He could rule the universe as a God, but is busy playing king over an insignificant kingdom. It is surprisingly human.
@whitedragoness232 жыл бұрын
@@RealLifeIronMan I think that’s why when he re created his body as new Griffith he actively sought to rid himself of those emotions. He visited the sword area where his fallen comrades memorial was at. To test to see if he felt anything anymore. So far he doesn’t seem attached to guts and just takes casca his weakness and leaves. Yes femto does show his human traits but i was talking when he gets his new Griffith body from the egg of the new world. He did not plan to “take over gut’s son body” at all. The egg of the new world took the boy with him and they both merged with Griffith. Griffith has a master plan. We are not fully sure what his plan is because he’s showing hints to the viewer like killing flora and making a new falcon/hawk kingdom. Even thought Griffith has a “master” plan it’s already been stated by the god hand they aren’t true gods and they can’t predict every instance like when skull king crashed their party. That Carries over to how Griffith’s master plan is to be reborn into a human body again in the physical world with no emotions. But again he can’t predict when things go astray. He’s not god but a supernatural super astral being back into the physical world. I may have missed some hints as NEW body Griffith he still has human emotions. I can’t recall any except the beginning of the manga where Griffith could of killed guts easily for the count but didn’t.

For it appears only around casca (and guts) and so far seems to be Griffiths only indicated weakness. Since killing his body, would mean bannishment to the spirit world (or any other layer the godhabds live in) he wants it close by, to protect it. This would also explain, why they keep Casca alive. Nice theory, I think that in order to defeat Griffith he should suffer some betrays from the people he trusts so he gets mad and "throws" like he did after Guts left in the pre-eclipse arc. I would say Guts was the first one, then Rickert because he was a person that used to love Griffith. And the last ones would prob be Casca that wont help him because of the huge trauma he did to her, Zodd because he "smells" like a "Vegetta type of villain" that will end up helping Guts, and same with Sonia. If they betray Griffith it would be quite a hit against him while also making the Gut's team way stronger

I disagree with a lot of these things because Berserk has a lot of swings toward the antithesis of fate and power. Sonia knows about the demon army and yet is not even a little worried about it. She has an understanding of evil, yet is not shaken by it. Even if she tells the world what Griffith is, the fear of Griffith's power will just shake humanity to submission. It doesn't make sense for Griffith's character to seek love and adoration. If anything I think Sonia's role is to push Shierke's magic to the next level as they are opposite poles. Sonia, lonesome and although powerful, does not know academic magic and believes in Griffith as the savior while Schierke, who also grew up away from her fellow magicians but was thought of supreme use and understanding of magic was thought of the real evil who will skin himself with the hawk of light.

Furthermore Casca will also meet the Luca and her friends and they will most likely also learn the truth about Griffith. if Charlotte refuses to believe Casca, then Sonia could convince her using her abilities, by showing her what Griffith did to Casca and her comrades.

Not only that, but If Casca leaves Falconia by herself with Sonia and if Jill, Theresia and Jerome are in Falconia right now and decides to accompany Casca(+ Luca with her girls), we could have a Casca Escape arc with Casca and her new pals getting out of Falconia to go to the Bakiraka village where Rickert is and where Guts' group will surely go via Skull-Knight's guidance, It would've mirror Guts and his JRPG party joining forces to go to Elfhelm!

Theory about why Guts could only slice a few hair from Griffith and a few other connections I noticed. 1: guts breaks Zodds sword and injured Zodd and Zodd transforms for the first time ever I front of Guts. I believe Griffith could have seen this also, as they were setting up to launch arrows at Zodd to save Guts. 2:Guts fails to cut Zodds horn the very first time Zodd ever transforms and Griffith sees this and after becoming Femto his first strike against Zodd? the same place and horn from when Guts tried to cut Zodds horn but fails. 3: Guts breaks Griffith sword very similar to his first battle with zodd and cuts Griffiths hair slightly. wins "farewell battle." IDK...but I think this might have some kinda of bearing on how Guts and Griffiths final battle could go? maybe? but I noticed all these small but once noticed obvious at the same time connections.. or possibly...🤔😲 no! wait.. but Guts was holding back mentally when he only sliced a few hairs from Griffith in their "farewell battle" and maybe that is why Guts was only able to cut his hair and the berserker armour couldn't take over when Griffith took Casca because maybe Guts was holding back subconsciously... even though Guts thought he was trying to kill Griffith maybe deep down somewhere Guts does not want to kill Griffith and maybe that's why Guts could only cut a few hairs in both battles vs Griffith? just realized that while writing this..😅 but what do others think about this and these connections? also I want to be recognized as the one to coin "farewell battle". 😅 jk.

Sonia has basically been Casca 2.0 ver falconia. She will be the one betrayed probably and resonate with casca and guts

I was talking to my friend about this a few days ago. She’s going to read cascas mind and see what griffith did
@s0uldr4ke5 ай бұрын
Actually very cool theory and I wouldn’t mind it. I believe quite the opposite though. I think Sonia is the embodiment of people who do not think for themselves but blindly follow somebody else. She is basically the new Band‘s version of Casca and I think her whole role will be as a reminder to Casca how she was before and why she can’t and shouldn’t ever go back to her days. she resembles more what would have happened if Casca didn’t meet guts, a sheep graciously accepting the fate of death in order to protect the one she worships.

I think Sonia will somehow come to be aware of Behilts and the sacrifice ritual. Either than, or she will find our Griffith never cared about any of them whatsoever.

this is such a smart theory i was like wow he really just spoiled us, but idk everything you said seems convincing and he has no way to prevent her from seeing into casca's mind so its inevitable but do you think casca's memory will go back to nil after she realizes griffith has captured her again and the trauma causes her to forget what happened or store it deep in her mind that sonia wont be able to see it?
@billy_bat97542 жыл бұрын
I can't imagine Casca going back to Elaine, the process by which she returned wouldn't be reverted just from confronting that trauma, she just has the ability to actually confront it now. I could imagine Griffith locking her up away from Sonia though, and it seems likely that Sonia would go visit her out of couriosity or jealousy despite that if he did.

At the end of Berserk, there must be some event that would occur and change the mentality (collective unconscious/consciousness) of whole human, in order to weaken the God Hand. And to reach this scale of influence, I think Sonia's ability to 'broadcast' and talk directly to a large group of people is crucial.

I think her jealousy might be enough to put her on the edge of betraying Griffith. She just needs a big enough push. Casca showing up might be that push.

I’m still watching the video but there is a gnawing thought I’ve had since falconia was revealed. Why does Griffith even want his kingdom anymore? It’s literally a step down from the godly powers he had as femto, why play this dollhouse game? It has to be to serve some ultimate purpose right? Or is it just that he’d seen how boring life as a god hand was and just wasn’t having it? Maybe his reasoning for doing this is not even malevolent. How do we hate him for what he did to guts and the band of the hawk when there is a chance he’s benevolently created a safe and free society for millions of people and actively building a better world? Is this becoming a story of "can you ever bring yourself to forgive him for his past actions?" Because that would be fucked up but also so fucking real.

Also, I just wanted to say, Ryan called it YEARS ago that Casca would be kidnapped by Griffith and held in Falconia. I watched that episode of the Berserk manga analysis yesterday. Shits crazy accurate.

Dude have you tried out the new ChatGPT? It's this new AI that can do some crazy shit. I was playing around with it, trying to make it give me ideas about how the story of Berserk would continue. It's fucking awesome. It's free btw. I told it about the story of Eclipse and asked it how it could continue and it's hilarious to see some of the ideas; If the story is very dark and there is no hope for the main character and the woman, it may be difficult to find a resolution that feels satisfying or meaningful. Here are a few ideas for potential endings to the story: The main character and the woman could be killed or consumed by the demons, ending their suffering but also bringing the story to a bleak and tragic conclusion. The main character could find a way to escape the demon realm and leave the woman behind, potentially sacrificing her in order to save himself. The main character could make a deal with the demons or the dark being, possibly trading his own freedom or soul in exchange for the woman's safety or release. The main character and the woman could find a way to overcome their suffering and use it as a source of strength or inspiration, finding a way to resist the demons and fight back against their oppressors. Then after I told him about Skull Knight; If the main character and the woman are rescued by a flying skull knight who flies them through the portal and back to the other side, it could bring a sense of hope and redemption to the story. Here are a few ideas for how the story could continue after this event: The main character and the woman could be reunited with their friends and allies, who were also trapped in the demon realm. Together, they could work to heal and recover from their experiences, and find a way to stop the demons from invading their own world. The main character and the woman could use their knowledge and experience in the demon realm to help defend their own world against future threats, possibly becoming heroes or champions in the process. The main character and the woman could decide to leave their old lives behind and start anew, using their time in the demon realm as a chance to reflect on their past mistakes and make amends. The main character and the woman could be hailed as heroes and celebrated for their bravery and resilience, possibly gaining fame and recognition for their actions. Regardless of what happens next, the rescue by the flying skull knight could be a turning point in the story, offering the main character and the woman a chance to overcome their suffering and find a new purpose in life. And then; If the main character and the woman are reunited with their friends and decide to dedicate themselves to defending against the demons and seeking vengeance, it could lead to a challenging and dangerous journey. Here are a few ideas for how the story could continue: The main character and the woman could travel together, seeking out new allies and resources to help them in their fight against the demons. They could encounter other people who have also suffered at the hands of the demons, and work together to build a resistance movement. The main character could struggle with his own emotions and desires for revenge, potentially causing conflicts with the woman or their allies. He may need to find a way to balance his desire for justice with his responsibilities as a protector and caregiver for the woman and her demon-baby. The demons could continue to pursue the main character and the woman, using their superior powers and resources to track them down and eliminate them. The main character and the woman may need to constantly stay on the move and find new ways to evade their enemies. The dark being could continue to play a role in the story, possibly revealing its true motivations and plans for the main character and the woman. The group may need to confront the dark being and find a way to neutralize its influence. Crazy right?

I think one of the biggest things that she could do is to simply turn against Griffith. If she can communicate visuals via esp, what if she communicated the visuals of what happened during the eclipse and what he did as femto?

Oh man I can’t wait for the next chapter I really wish this shit would just get animated like I wish we could do a fucking kickstarter to get this shit funded cause I’m sure we all already know we could smash that money goal if there was one so I wish a studio would fucking step up to the plate and I would hope kentaro’s team would even allow it that would be awsome this series definitely deserves to be animated exactly how it is in the manga

Ever since we found out moonlight boy was Griffith's ticket into Elfhelm ive started to think of Femto's assault on Casca and the conception of the demonic fetus a bit differently. You can chalk it up to Miura feeling out his character but the more weve gotten to know Femto the more out of character his assault on Casca has become. Femto doesnt really just do things because he feels like it, and doesnt seem to harbour any human notions of spite, resentment, revenge, etc. so something as petty and impulsive as assaulting Casca to 'assert his dominance' just doesn't seem like something he would do. Certainly something Griffith would do, but Femto im not so sure. I think its far more likely that Femto assaulted Casca precisely because of the knock on effects it would have so he could use moonlight boy to enter Elfhelm. The irony of it is we as the reader projected our own human notions of resentment on to Femto to try to understand why he would do this horrible thing but in the end there was no emotional motivation for his actions just another cold calculated move to further his plans. That being said do I think Sonia is going to be jealous of Casca's presence in Falconia? Absolutely. If Sonia comes to understand that Casca is there to take the role of a mother figure this may quell her jealousy but we will have to see how well that information is relayed to her...

For me, Sonia is for Femto what Schierke is to Guts but in reverse. Sonia is rather naive, knows vey little about the machinations of the Astral World, and knows Femto only as this illustrious figure who (unbeknownst to her) knows almost everything about the Astral World and it´s inhabitants. Schierke on the other hand is a real advisor who knows a lot about the Astral World and teaches a sometimes clueless Guts about it from time to time and saves himself from himself multiple times so their bond is strong and real. She knows Guts is just human and knows his ugly sides and still decides to support him despite his flaws, BECAUSE HE IS HUMAN. Since Femto's ascension (or descent, interpret as you wish) as a member of the godhand he plays pretend while wearing Griffith's skin so he can play little emperor, but everything must feel superficial and hollow to him, no? Imagine you tried all your life painstakingly carving your path in the world with a bunch of misfits and managed to become the supreme general of a kingdom. You fought tooth and nail to get it, this was a struggle and a huge feat! But that was not enough. Afterall he was (supposedly) destined to become the King of Longing and his will was not strong enough to go against this destiny. Now, what? He is a godlike being who has his kingdom. Almost everybody (Hey Ganishka!) instantly revers him, he is literally the king of the blind white sheep who follow him. He has no meaningful bonds whatsoever, no struggles. He may achieved his goal in obtaining a kingdom, but how? Because of the power he obtained from an entity which weaved this whole saviour thing from the collective unconsciousness from humanity. He didn´t really do anything to obtain it, there is a reward but without struggle. Obviously I can´t look into Femto´s head, but unless there is another goal and obtaining a kingdom was a prerequisite for reaching that goal, I think slowly but surely this spotless facade of Femto get some cracks (because of some sort of depression, since he is completely alone because he has no real friends/bonds and reached everything and now there is stagnation) which allow Sonia to get a glimpse behind said facade and gets a rude awakening.

Irrelevant theory but I think Godo is going to make a reappearance purely cause of chekovs gun. We saw him in the form of a happy and warm memory from Guts. I think we may see him again in the Astral world but in a dream. We and Guts would get one last Godo speech.
