If you don't like the direction the story is heading towards now you wouldn't like the story either if it was written by miura. Sure, it may have been drawn differently and written a bit differently but the main plot details stay the same.

My fav thing in the new berserk chapters is how they opened it with Puck flying. Mori is has been a close companion from the start to Miura the way Puck is to Guts, following the journey every step of the way but also at a distance. The choice to make Puck the first character shown after restarting the manga was a decision I really appreciated

Hey everyone, firstly hope you all had a Holly Jolly Christmas. This year has been amazing for us Berserk Fans. I got more of my friends and even my best friends dad into Berserk and another one of my close friends got the Brand of Sacrifice tattooed on his arm. But the cherry on top for me was that I managed to get myself volume one of the Berserk Deluxe Edition for Christmas. It's not only my favorite manga and piece of fiction ever, but also technically now my very first manga I own now. Berserk really changed my life for the better and I'm sure it's done the same for you all as well. I can't wait to see where the story goes, being both excited and scared to see how it all plays out in the end. Regardless of what happens, Berserk will always be the absolute best of the best to me and I'll stand by it to the very end. Hope you all have a good New Year my fellow Strugglers :)

Hey Ryan, just wanna tell you that my Berserk journey started this year and actually was the reason I found your channel. In the span of a week I read the entirety Berserk last month (I'm still traumatized from the eclipse btw). And after reading Berserk it became the single greatest piece of fiction I had ever read and become my favorite manga off all time. I started reading Berserk the day I got a copy of Elden Ring. Reading and playing at the same time was incredible. Especially since I had played previous FromSoft games seeing the references to Berserk. I got to chapter 364 shortly before Studio Gaga announced they’d be continuing it. That was really exciting news. I had gotten my close friends into the series. It is my favourite manga to date. I call it the manual for life. Thank you Miura and thank you Ryan for making videos about Berserk.

Berserk appeared at a very important time for me this year. I was reading through the end of Golden Age because I was told that the ‘97 anime leaves a lot out after Griffith’s capture. That’s when I really discovered the Lost Children chapters. I had known about them since 2019, because the ‘No Paradise’ panel is one of the most well known of the series, but I had never read it completely. Before and during my reading of it, the part of my life where I attended school was about to end, and I was in some very dark places during March to the first two weeks of May. I was still working at a retail store where I got harassed by one of my coworkers a lot, most of my friends were going to a college out of state, my relationship with my parents… wasn’t great, and I was slated to continue with retail over the summer. Usually when I read a story it’s used as an escape, so when I was reading Lost Children and Jill did not get to go on a typical adventure you would see in other stories it just reminded me of what I would go back to once I finished it. The realization that “you can’t escape” was heartbreaking, yes, but then I continued reading I reached the part where Jill is standing on the hill reflecting on the previous few days culminating in her resolve to crawl along the earth under the vivid sky, and that even the small changes she could make would be worth it. It had struck me in a way no other story has ever done before, and may not again for some time. The fact that this little girl, who had seen so much horror and had so many terrible things happen to her, could still decide to keep living and still smile was so important to someone like me. With a newfound sense of drive and more importantly, hope for the future, I decided to keep moving forward and make change. Long story short, I got a new job at a local county park where I get to work outside all day and also work on my physique, which improved my relationship with my parents considerably, I started driving more, established a connection with the few people who were willing to stay in touch with me after school and graduated high school on June 3rd of this year. And then just a couple days later it was announced that Berserk was scheduled to return. Every time we saw a returning character with each chapter I was so happy, cause you know, it was so nice to see all of them again, Guts, Farnese, Schierke, Morda, the neo Band of the Hawk, and even Rosine made a cameo in the memories sequence of 371! To say Berserk is important to my growth as a person would be an understatement, and I’m truly grateful for all the respect and support that this story has gotten this year. Here’s to more great stories to come 🤙

My overall favorite berserk moment of this year, was literally just hearing it was continuing, maybe these chapters aren't exactly like how miura sensei would write them, at least the art, but I think this is a fantastic tribute to him, and we got his best friend who's know miura for years supervising the remaining story, so I feel it's safe to say berserk is in very good hands

I started watching Berserk 97 and Berserk 2016 anime during the covid19 lockdown in Malaysia around March/April 2020, after finish watching and doing my own research on internet, i was so curious about things that the anime left out (black swordsman arc and the lost children arc) so I bought the manga and it really blew me away. Since then i'm officially became a Berserk fan. For people who watch anime only, you won't experience Berserk fully if you didn't read the manga, the manga is one of the best in the world. When Miura sensei passed away, i remember i felt so devastated and sad. Thank you studio Gaga and Koji Mouri for continuing Miura sensei works, I really appreciate the effort and their sincerity to finish what Miura sensei started.

as always love your videos. side note: I believe the reason Guts was able to cut off a strand of Griffith's hair was ONLY because Griffith allowed it. Griffith may need to materialize in a physical form in order to interact with temporal objects, also he knew Guts would not commit his blade if it meant harming Casca. He may be able to switch between an ethereal and physical form at will 🤷‍♂

throughout most of this year i 100% was convinced we were done getting new chapters just because of how long it had been for so long. I was one of the many that would have loved to see it finished, but came to terms with it likely being done... so holy shit was I happy that we eventually did get the continuation that has been great so far. Ever since that zodd statue I have always kept my expectations low for announcements, so it coming back was so amazing, and luckily I didn't get my hopes up for a continuation of the anime with that behelit countdown. Overall Berserk had a great year through my eyes, it was an amazing year to be a berserk fan. edit: also I really enjoyed the memorial edition, I hadn't seen the movies before so it was nice, it obviously had its ups and downs, but the 2d animation throughout was amazing and I think some of its peaks are my favorite adaptations of those scenes. it only reassured my thought that ppl who say it cant be adapted in 2d are clueless tbh

In the manga, the fact that he didn't take too long made me happy, I have no doubts, Miura took necessary and justifiable time he did his best in several panels, (others not so much in this more recent arc). It's just that there's a time to wait that's uncomfortable, HxH is there to prove it to me I wish the work would go faster Miura should have learned to summarize his art more personally I like simplifications but Mangaka would continue to take their time and I respect that. And unfortunately he died and I liked that Mouri streamlined the story more, either because he didn't have a lot of material to work with, or because he wanted to deliver the conclusion to the fans, he's also a mangaka and not I want him stuck in Berserk for a long time I'm back to enjoying following what hasn't happened in a long time unlike HxH which I wasn't as excited about. But I also say that, however rushed he is, Mouri knew how to work this work differently from the anime, "Oh Boy" I think after Berserk 97 and the Dreamcast game they didn't make it, by the way, they didn't make an effort to make a decent adaptation, I don't think it's an unadaptable manga, but I think it's a lot of work and the Special Edition is just easy money they took of the death of this author who marked the pop culture worldwide.

I for one think the choice for Studio Gaga and Kouji Mori to finish the legacy of Berserk is fine. I think they do well with the art, and I think it will at the very least be a finale to a work that has always deserved a conclusion. I think the finishing of his work is what he would have wanted and there is nobody better than Mori left to do that. I guess it's more of a compliment to Miura than an insult to Mori and Gaga that the art just doesn't compare. A lot of the facial expressions and poses are uncannily awkward and stiff. Zodd doesn't look right at all. Composition and perspective is awkward and claustrophobic. It's unclear how much dialogue Miura left behind but that seems to have taken a hit as well. Yet it's still a cut above 95% of manga. Miura was just that good and nobody could touch him.

My prediction of how Berserk will end: Guts will take the same life Skullknight has, which is already obvious. He will be able to defeat 4 godhand members only leaving Griffith/Femto alive. Almost as a reflection to the panel of Skullknight meeting with 4 different godhand members, he fought the godhand and defeated 4 of them only leaving Void alive.. As time passes skullknight will die trying to help Guts defeat the godhand and so Guts will be the new Skullknight and new godhand members will be chosen overtime and Guts will have to save somebody from an Eclipse to continue the cycle of fighting the godhand the same as skullknight did for him, I believe the story of Berserk to simply be a cycle.
