FUN FACT: This game was not tested, or even finished. Sega took away half of the people working on it and had them make Sonic and the Secret rings for the Wii, but the other half of the team still had to make this game. They didn't have the man power to finish it, so when their deadline came, they just stopped in the middle of making it and released their unfinished project.

Quite frankly, I LOVED Sacred/Secret Rings. It was the first 3D Sonic game I played, so maybe that's why I found the controls to be surprisingly smooth and easy to get used to, but they were. The story? Subjective, but I enjoyed it. The party mode is pretty fun, except for the fishing minigame which just doesn't work (my favorite minigame is Spin: Steel Survival). Unlike Sonic 2006, it pulled off a Sonic/humanoid-girl friendship without it being too awkward (second time's the charm?). The difficulty is everything between incredibly easy and nigh-impossible. The music is AWESOME. And the EX-boss is possibly the most intense final boss battle in any Sonic game- or most Wii games- I've ever played.

Am I the only one who thinks Sega should make a remake of Sonic 2006? It was an awesome idea, but it was killed by the horrendously rushed execution (which was, at least in part, the fans' fault)... Enhance the graphics, perfect the gameplay, fix all the glitches, revoice and redo the cutscenes (mainly to tone down the relationship between Sonic and Elise considerably), and release it next year on the Wii U or something as *Sonic the Hedgehog 2016: 10th Anniversary Finalized Edition*, and they would finally accomplish the nigh-impossible task of pleasing Sonic's unpleasable fans.

Dreigonix That... is actually not a bad idea... It's the same problem Sonic Boom had. It had the basis for being a pretty good game, but it was horribly rushed, had a terrible amount of glitches, and just wasn't done well. Though I think it would be pretty hard to fix _all_ the glitches. Even some games that are considered to be the best by a lot of people have some. I guess they should focus on the biggest ones, though. :P

It's amazing that this game had so much potential to be good, and it could have been good if Sega had delayed it. If it was delayed because it wasn't yet ready for release, I would have been perfectly fine with that. Though, I know some fans don't like that, but even still. I saw a Facebook post once of Shigeru Miyamoto himself saying "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." This game seems to be living proof of that statement. Had it had more time for development, they could have ironed out a lot of the physics, fixed the glitches, etc. Many people even consider the fans wanting it so badly being the reason it was rushed.

Yep, Sonic 2006 literally isn’t finished, so most ‘glitches’ are just results of that. The purple gem infinite jump isn’t even a glitch at all, they literally didn’t program Sonic’s ability bar, and it’s very funny because of that. Also, do we really think Sonic losing physics on loops is a glitch after what Sonic Heroes had, and losing physics is better then losing control *cough* *cough* Sonic Forces.

I like the fact that everyone hates the game it's not that bad, people are making it seem like it's not even a game but definition, it is though. just because it has a shit ton of plot holes, stupid plot items, and bunches of glitches doesn't mean it isn't a game. It has objectives, plot, an ending, and it can be played in a somewhat normal way if you know how to avoid glitches, it's not even that hard to complete. It's unfinished because of the lack of testing and bug hunting, but other than that I found it enjoyable. I still like to come back to it sometimes.

Glad I got the 360 version, it's odd how it's the most stable version of 06 with better loading times for a good chunk of the game. A good chunk of these glitches are things you pretty much have to force out vs the ones you may come across accidentally, like knuckles and rouge getting stuck to the wall, and on that case, a decent amount of these are just oversights, like sonic having infinite energy, or being able to stay completely vertical without moving. It's so interesting to see how easy it was for people to hate on 06 a long time ago with the majority just basing their opinions of the game from hearing about it rather than trying it themselves.

You can also use E-102's Flying Ability almost infinite times in mid-air if timed correctly, to trigger cutscenes and events in specific areas that shouldn't be reachable for Gamma.

I experienced nearly if not all of these glitches and found them all on my own. It took me an hour and 15 minutes to defeat Egg Wyvern because I spent 30 minutes getting to that ledge all the way back towards the rest of the Egg Carrier using the purple gem infini-jump, yet there was nothing there. I didn't bother dying, so I took the 30 minutes to jump all the way back. I really took 5 minutes to defeat Egg Wyvern in combat but the extra ten minutes was me looking up a guide on how to beat it after I managed to bug the game in a loop and eventually broke out. I also used the cyan gem to get out of bounds of the Silver fight and trolled him so hard. I loved this game.

There’s also Silver’s and Omega’s Hovering Glitch, Silver’s Psychic Push Water Bounce Glitch, Getting Shadow to travel further in the air by constantly using Chaos Spear, and the Annoyance of trying to focus Rouge’s aiming without parts of her getting in the way of our view

Just Remembered more: You’re able to get Silver into Previous sections of Dusty Desert in the End of the World Stage, Tails is also able to get further into Crisis City in the End of the World Stage as well, Sonic is able to attack the Egg Genesis from underneath the same way Silver did it, In Multiplayer you can cheat your way to victory using Silver’s Psychokinesis on your Opponent, or using Sonic’s Purple Gem Sky Gem or Red Gem, Also in Multiplayer at the fist check point of Crisis City if you get on of those Iblis Titans to stand on that check point spot and die from it you will keep respawning and dying over and over again by that Titan, Also if you get Silver and either Sonic or Shadow to spawn on the same check point and not move either of them if you use Silver’s Psychokinesis the other player will be standing upside down underneath the ground hehehe Try them for yourself

Half the dev team got moved to work on Secret Rings, Naka left leaving the remaining team demoralized, and then came the deadline that Sega set, wanting the game out by Christmas, not having enough time, they were pretty much forced to release an early build of the game. But we did get the best villain in the series and the Snapcube fan dub out of this at least

Man,, I'm 12 now, but I remember when I was 7 and I played this game ALL THE TIME. I also remember how incredibly frustrating it was, as the game would always have some glitch or bug to stop me from proceeding.
