Hello, I have been trying to use your mod with RSDK4 but it gives me graphical problems, if I put true in TxtScripts the game does not work, I only see a black screen. I have used the mobile versions of Sonic 1, what is needed for this mod to work correctly?

@@Sukuna77261 Could you be more specific? I am using Data.rsdk file from mobile version with RSDKv4 version 1.3.1. And in the mod.ini I have put: Name=S1Mania Description=Sonic The Hedgehog (1991) Mania Author=DNX and De Gezonde Roker Version=2 texttexts = true SkipHomeMenu=false active = false This way I get the mod to work, but it doesn't let me access the menu where I can select the area, the character to play with or the number of emeralds, among other things. That menu was available in the previous version of this mod, but in the latest version I don't see a possible way to access that menu.

Love how this script mod was made to replicate the quality, visuals, and motion of Mania with the whole foundation based on Sonic 1, and I even prefer it over the HD remakes from long ago or recently.

Even if we wanted to pay for something like this, Sega isn't interested in doing anything else with Sonic Mania, otherwise we would have had a Sonic Mania 2 by now. In may ways we were lucky that Sega worked with the Mania team to make it an official release. And Mania was way better than Generations. The GameGear Sonic games could have been brought over to a modern/retro era, which would have been something many would have been interested in. Triple Trouble was modded with Mania and looked like something worth buying. The big N lost out on so many opportunities to support and monetize many fan projects like AM2R, various Pokemon games, and more recently PC ports like Link's Awakening DX and Zelda 2 Link's Adventure Extended.

I was more so hoping for every stage to feel familiar but unique, 2 act structure, and mini bosses, kinda like it's a complete retelling of the events of sonic 1 as a new game. It is very beautiful though! And definitely took a lot of time to make!

This is well done. They took the mania sprite and changed the colors. Instead of being pretentious and making their own terrible custom sprite like so many other mods/homebrew games do.

The way I was able to get this to work was from reading someones comment on the mod page. You have to open Settings.ini and make sure "TxtScripts" is set to "True" and not "False".

@@jaypin88- Hello, Im also having trouble and I tried the txtscripts set to true and all I get when I try and start sonic 1 is script parsing failed operand not found Priority_active line number 401 error in title/logo.txt im using the decompiled APK of sonic 1 from my android phone along with Rubberduckycoolys RSDK5 v1.3.2 and RSDK mod manager as there are no real instructions on how to actually get this working or even how any of this is done. Any Ideas on whats the problem? I have managed to get the game to start with txtscripts set to false BUT once green hill starts there is either nothing there but the background and it goes to game over OR it does load but a lot of it is glitched and you cant get very far as it just buggs out completely.
