Hi there. Thank you all for your feedback! It's very important to me to know what you think about my hack. But I'd like to let you all know that the version played on this video shows a very outdated version of the ROM. Nowadays the game has improved a lot. If I compare this version to the current one, they can't be easily compared, but there's a lot to improve yet. Sadly I'm still unable to release something new about this because I have no time available for doing so. Again, thank you all for your time! If you liked it, I really appreciate it, and I hope you can enjoy a new release soon. If you didn't, well... to be honest I dislike this version too. Maybe a new release could change that? I don't know... but I'll try my best.

Soundtrack is great! basically a compilation of all the best 8 and 16 bit game tunes. special shout outs to whoever remixed bridge zone for SMS and the Sonic 2 boss fight remix. Damn end zone is a chore with 7 hits... its a marathon in this version, someone should come up with a better version of that, its a week-ass fight after the earlier bosses.

The level design was mostly competent other than the requirement to go into an invisible wall during the 2nd Marble Zone level. But the music is so inconsistent it may as well be on a random number generator. Especially Labyrinth Zone since all 3 levels use different forms of the same song but in every other zone, including the 4th water level, it uses different songs for each. Also too many of the songs have long build ups which meant they got cut off before even beginning due to the level ending, monitor buffs or drowning resetting them. Oh and of course the colour pallet swapping, the blue ground with blue background of Springyard and bright orange Starlight Zone were bad. And making bosses have higher HP doesn't make them hard.

A lock-on feature will be added like in Sonic & Knuckles, allowing you to lock this hack onto my other hacks (when I've released more after this, that is), a save file feature will be added like in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, you will be able to enter cheat codes which give you a 100% complete save file immediately, and one that unlocks a Stage Select. There will be 4 playable characters, being Sonic, Super Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. The game will only be 10 stages long, but the stages themselves are gonna be really big and spread out to make up for this. The stages are Hilltop Heights, Lava Palace, Emerald Valley, Wet Caverns, Pinball Defence System, Veg-O-Fortress, Sky Sanctuary, Lava Reef, Hidden Palace, and The Death Egg. In addition, there are also Special Stages which you can access for a chance to collect one of the 7 Chaos Emeralds by collection at least 50 Rings and clearing the stage. So once you collect 50 Rings, hold onto them! The Special Stages are 2D versions of the halfpipe structure from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the Special Stages from the Mega Drive version of Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island, and the original Sonic 1 Special Stages will also be included as DLC (yes, DLC will be coming to my hack). DLC characters will also be coming, being Mighty the Armadillo, Hyper Sonic, Super Tails, Hyper Knuckles, Shadow the Hedgehog, Metal Sonic, Amy Rose, SANIC HEGEHOG (GOTTA GO FAST!), Mario (strange, isn't it?), Bean the Dynamite, Cream the Rabbit, and finally, Dr. Robotnik himself (yep, you read that right! Robotnik will be playable, despite him being the main villain)! This brings the character roster from 4 up to 16! DLC stages will be all the stages from the classic Sonic games, being Green Hill, Marble, Spring Yard, Labyrinth (Didn't wanna bring it back, but it's a classic Sonic level, so I had to), Star Light, Scrap Brain, Emerald Hill, Chemical Plant, Aquatic Ruin, Casino Night, Hill Top, Mystic Cave, Oil Ocean, Metropolis, Wing Fortress, Egg Gauntlet, Angel Island, Hydrocity, Marble Garden, Carnival Night, Icecap, Launch Base, Mushroom Hill, Flying Battery, Sandopolis, and The Doomsday Zone. Labyrinth Zone will be made easier, and The Doomsday Zone can only be played when you have all 7 Chaos Emeralds, despite it being DLC. Whoo! What a big game! I'm gonna make sure I fix as much glitches as possible, as well (if I find any glitches while play testing the game before I release it. If I find glitches, I'm gonna have to delay the game's release date so I can get time to fix them)!

That's a nice observation!!! I actually notice this awhile back and forgot all about it. The genesis was so well done, truly ahead of its time mostly all of the title launches had references too each other in their games. In Streets of rage I think axel wears sonics shoes but reverse colors.
