The snow, red background and hidden palace seem used for a 0.9/sooner build. Fun fact, in a old version of the rom hack in its level select, you could play Death Egg Zone but not get through the entire level.

Little inside: Team is working on remake of winter zone, gcz will be closer to leaked documents, and hpz is already in game, just a secret zone. Also soon you will hear about Ocean Wind update, I hope..

Neat! I have not expect that somebody will find them so fast! Well, sound test is a easter egg and accessible in menu, as well as Hidden Palace, but for Hidden Palace you need 7 emeralds. After them youll be able to go there Rock World and Cyber City were made for fun. We wanted to put more, but deadlines killed our plans :p P.S.: Nvm blue ARZ, its not canon

I want to point out there also small changes in MCZ and CNZ, first having somewhat weird object placements and probably layout, latter spawning you in a pit (The other stuff in CNZ seems same as vanilla Sonic 2 through)

Hmm theres another update about the scrapped levels The problems wth these zones interpretation is they based them off the concept arts , concept arts aren't always the true version of what the level gonna look like in digital Like now brenda released an portfolio of her past work at sti and theres was sonic 2 pixel animated gif version of sand shower , wood zone , the good news surprisingly the mockup of winter zone showed up the true real winter zone .
