This has been one of my most anticipated projects for a long time now. I'm very glad that it's not been another discarded project. Seeing all the zones in past,present and future I cant wait. I played the demo to death. Glad you're doing well dude. You've got a ton of supporters 👍

I think it's safe to say you're not the only one who's had a rough time... look, I get it tenfold that 2020 ruined you and others. Personally, 2020 was the darkest year of my life so far for me and then some... lockdowns, anxiety, watching a pet suffer from their owner's fear of not being there for them if they put them down, before they were finally put down (and that fear unfortunately realised), people having suicidal thoughts around me, including my only parent left, and death after death... all after my 18th. All I'm saying is, I can understand that 2020 ruined others mentally, too, so... take it from me: Do what motivates you, we can hecka wait for a polished product. It looks decent, those level layouts seem pretty decent, and honestly... take care of yourself. Don't give this up, this ambition is splendid.

I remember picking this hack up during 2018's SHC contest. Absolutely amazing hack, Pacca! It's nice to see that you're still working on it but don't overexauhst yourself okay dude? Awesome. I love the ambition. The option to carry over your save file from the previous version is really smart. If there isn't already, I'd recommend adding an option to turn the music off. I'd like to be able to listen to something else while playing hacks, but still have the SFX there too. The option to turn SFX off isn't one I'd see myself using, but there's no harm in having it there. Anyway, good luck with whatever you end up finding the most satisfaction in doing.

For the bubble shield, there are 3 Steps: First - Stomp Make so that he goes to the ground quicker when you trigger the ability. +400 is a good number (Plus means lower in Sonic ASM) Second - Bouncing Make Sonic jump automatically when he hits the ground after trigerring the ability, this will make him seem like he is bouncing. Third - Bouncing Height For the bouncing height, make it so that when Sonic Bounces, Sonic's jump height is increased by a little bit. -400 is a good number. (Minus means higher in Sonic Asm), then when Sonic Bounces, the flag is deactivated. I did it in my Hack and it worked. I hope it helps.

The 4-years-ago me can relate to the part of not meeting your own standards :/ I always felt bad about my lack of art and music skills and combined with the fact that I'm not really a team working person made me mostly halt projects. Mostly because of that Robotnik's Plan B is my only finished hack, as it was relying mainly on coding changes. Good to see you didn't dropped that hack, and the presented changes are really nice. Good luck on sorting out your personal life, and as of the content do whatever you feel works the best for now.

Hey man I get it. The last year has messed everyone up. All that matters is you. Dont beat yourself up over your skills (as that will come with more experience. I have no idea, was only vaguely aware that that was a thing! It would likely depend on how it works; I didn't change much of anything from Sonic 2 in regard to scrolling and drawing the screen.

Choatix takes full advantage of the 32x graphical power to draw the scene. It leaves the sega genesis completely devoted to drawing the level. It's likely possible, but there would be no colors or vram left for characters, enemies, rings, etc. It might be barely possible with some color trickery, but I"m definitely not the one to do that 😅

Where is it? Would like to fix it if possible. Although oftentimes, slowdown in the video can be caused by recording aoftware+ whatever else I was doing x3 I've no plans to utilize the 32x or port to the sega cd though
