Sonic 2:Debug, level select and super sonic codes

On websites that have game cheats, I see that on Sonic the Hedgehog 2 there's a options menu there, but I don't see one on my game... So I can't do the level select cheat really...

im using pico drive on my phone and it dosent work i go 2 each song press c to enter and when its done i press start then it restarts i press and hold a then i hit start on the 1player option... and the game begins how do i get it to work, am i doing somthing wrong?

Yeah thanks. I´m playing the Sonic Mega Collection Plus -collection. But when i enter the code, and press start, and press space (A) The game will just strt without the level select. What did i do wrong? And when i put the last song i can hear the ring sound. But still nothing happens in start menu.

Thanks. This helped. I tried it on the SEGA mega drive/genisis ultimate colleletion disc,(PS3) and discovered that I had to change it to a certain button layout so I could do it. The layout was the ABC controls, which were: A: Square B: Cross/X C: Circle.

To Joshua James. You have to let sonic and tails appear on screen, once that happens wait until the 1 PLAYER thing is yellow, then continue with holding a and smashing start down

Hey mate, this video is awesome!!! I used to have a sega mega drive and used to be able to use all of these amazing codes, but need a little assistance, how do you get the codes to work on sonic 2 on the xbox, I played 19, 69, 09 and 17 and it still made a ring sound, but i'm stuck after that, nothing else happens and not too sure what buttons to press to enable something to happen?

-First make sure the controls are set to ABC Mode: SEGA Genesis by pressing back on the Xbox controller then going to control setup while in the title screen. -Then Go to options and press start. -Go to sound check and input numbers 19, 65, 09, 17 in that order. remember to press A on the Xbox controller on every number. -when you've done them all press B on the Xbox controller(you should hear the last sound repeat) then press start - Wait until the 1 player option comes up at the title screen and hold X and press start. -Then it should send you to the level select screen.

Thanks I did these cheats on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection yesterday and had to put the control on genesis configuration which meant that the x button is the A button, A is the B button and the B button was the C button

None of this worked for me for the mega collection for the gamecube even what you said in the comments. What DID work is this: Level select Use the sound test selection on the options menu. Choose sounds 19, 65, 9, and 17 (in that order). If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a chime. Hold X and press Start. Hold B and press Start when Sonic and Tails appear at the title screen.

I personally don't have either of those. Sega probably did that due to the ds control limitations, or they just couldn't find the right combination of buttons to make it work.

ok on secret ring version sonic 2 rom hack you need to save tails from death,drown etc if you do make tails die you get -1 lives means you lose 1 lives oh yah also to make a way to lose live is also make tails doesn't come back for a long time
