Because is a lazy copy paste of the previous games just to make a quick buck, with no originality, bad controls and music. Even worse the fact it is called Sonic 4, so it's meant to be a sequel of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, one of the best Sonic games of all time.

@@BunnyTPerson Indeed, you went too far boi. The music in both episodes are actually very good and are enjoyable. The physics are bad but at least the stages are built for these physics, and Sonic 4 is the only game where Sonic is actually fast and not slow like an old car in the classic series.

The reasons being this: Its not worthy of being called "Sonic 4". Being a sequel to games like Sonic 2 and 3&k? I don't think so. The games borrows and homagonises way too much from the original classic games to really be considered a real sequel. If it were like... Let's say, called New Sonic the Hedgehog with more content added, we wouldn't be nearly as harsh towards it. But since it was marketed as a sequel to Sonic 3&k at the time, we just can't help it.

You can play as either Tails or Sonic in the multiplayer mode. As for the special stage, to run even faster you have to press the action button. (Sonic & Tails combo button)
