Also they travel at the speed of sound, so the camera flash should be a little slower and the shutter sound fx is still heard, without mentioning the ISP (image signal processor) of the phone that should take time to develop the image

I think part of what made the Xmen scenes work was that things still actually moved even if just slowly, is not like time just stopped. But that would probably be a more difficult scene to create. Probably could've made it happen if the vfx artists didn't have to redo sonic.

Conveying speed through “time slowing down” doesn’t really work as characters like Sonic are supposed to enjoy the thrill of going fast. People play Sonic games to go fast, not to walk at a normal speed whilst everything slows down around them.

What always bothers me about these scenes is that they imply the fast character can fall quicker than normal. Problem being they can in reality only accelerate towards the ground at 9.8m/s^2 and their abilities should really only make them quick on the horizontal plane.
