Sonic 4 should be a sonic cd/sonic heroes adaption and i hope rouge, big and Team chaotix will also appear along with amy and metal sonic who are already teased in the post credits scenes. Robotnik should also survive and return in the fourth movie

I don’t think shadow will be in sonic 4, in the 3rd movie it’s stated shadow is annoyed that G.U.N is hellbent on capturing him, so now that he’s presumed dead, he might actually lay low for a while

That would be good for a post credits, Shadow is shown wandering alone, maybe cloaked in a bar (Kinda like Wolverine sort’ve) then at the back of the bar a ring opens up and Rouge walks through and says “Well, glad I’m not the only one.” Or something I’m not sure lol.

Maybe Robotnik made the metal Sonics after the events of the movie using an element that Amy knows about and managed to hear about robotnik stealing it. The army will kidnap tails and knuckles and Amy and Sonic team up to save them. And Amy will already have her team Cream and Big the cat tag along. And we'll probably learn about Amy's background and her adventures that she already had. And Rouge will be in as a villain in a supporting villain turned anti hero. And Shadow will probably come back on Sonic 5.
