Really makes me happy that sega did mega drive to be backwards compatible with master system (through pin adapter) and because of this mega drive basically has the sound chips of master system in it. Also thankfully they also let mega drive games also use those channels. To my understanding those 8-bit sounding beeps are mostly made with that chip.

They totally forgot to remove this as the S&K version was present in the cart. However, this is the BEST version and Danger on the Dance Floor is a great tribute. I can’t believe they let Tee Lopes even hint to MJ like that. It’s like they allowed him to tell us we were right about Sonic 3 all along. They didn’t have time to erase all of MJs tracks. I will eventually, but sonic spinball has a more unique way of distributing its instruments which makes deconstructing more difficult. It will take the same sound but move it around different channels so when sound effects over ride a specific channel, that part of the music won't always be over ridden. It's quite smart as far as sound design comes but it makes deconstructing hard as I have to construct the sound channel itself, and then remove it. Sonic 1, 2 and 3 always use the same channel for the same instrument for the entire song so it's relatively easy to deconstruct.
