Sonic Advance 2 - All Special Stages

This is all 7 Special Stages in each zones in Sonic Advance 2. I used a hack to enter all of them. It's just too unfair for me to collect the Special Rings in the Zones. Like I said before also, they are easy, except for the seventh Stage. You have to go to a line of rings to get bonus and double up your ring collection.
if you are wondering why each characters has a Chaos Emerald count, then that's because you get to unlock something if you beat all 7 Special Stages as all 4 characters: Amy Rose! Don't Do It. Trust me.

I can only get 5 of the emeralds. I've been trying to get the one at Techno Base all day. The hard part isn't gathering the special rings. For me, it's playing the actual special stages. I can't keep Sonic moving in a straight line and the ring chain mechanic expires in like half a second. I must've played for the sixth emerald over 25 times before giving up. The Sonic Advance trilogy has got to have the worst collection of special stages in the entire series.

You know, I spent a good portion of my childhood playing Sonic games (including Sonic Advance 3), but I've never played Sonic Advance 1-2, never listened to their OSTs or anything. So this was a nice taste of Sonic Advance 2.

In game, no reason is given; I like to think Eggman rebuilt him in an attempt to find the emeralds while he constructed Egg Utopia. From a marketing standpoint; it served as a tie in to newer players since Sonic Adventure DX released the same year, and since it was ZERO's origin game, it was just a little promotional easter egg to tie the two games together in the same release frame.

Despite owning this game since launch I only managed to finish it recently as in I managed to collect all Emeralds. Never ever again will I put myself through that. The method for gaining access to the Special Stage was simply disgusting and ruined what is otherwise a decent game.

Just accessing the special stage in this game requires the player to know this game in and out. Especially when it's about going fast, but have to slow down to get the special rings. It's not fun to complete.

@@cliffturbo2146 Not in Sonic Advance 2. If you know what you're doing, you'll get more than enough Rings to get a Chaos Emerald within thirty seconds.

@@cliffturbo2146 Also, the Advance games have ridiculous methods of accessing the Special Stages. In the first title, you have to search a certain act for a Special Spring. In the second title, you have to collect seven Special Rings and complete the act without dying. In the third title, you have to find all ten Chao in a Zone, find a Special Key and exit the level, and locate a Special Spring in the hub world.

Do you only need to collect all the chaos emeralds as sonic to get the final stage?

It’s been years since I played the game but I’m pretty sure you need to collect them as everyone. Getting all emeralds with one character unlocks the Chao garden. With the second is the sound board. With the third character unlocks Amy. And with the fourth one, you get the final stage (and nothing if you get all emeralds with Amy).

@@shadowspector3611 I found out that you only need to get all the emeralds as sonic to get the super sonic fight in space. But yea like you mentioned, there’s other stuff you can unlock by collecting the emeralds with the other characters

Well, I think Sonic CD special stages are a bit easier, because of auto move where you just control left right and jump, but this game you have to move front(not automove) and panicking the robot that chases you
