In a fun twist, this is actually easier to A-rank than the 1st and 4th missions XD Those two require good times as well as builing up score, but this one you can get the score alone and still A-rank with 0 time bonus, so you're free to take it a bit more cautiously.

Usually I find Hard mode missions easier than normal (set locations for Treasure Hunting stages and more points for Speed) except for Mech stages, but the sheer length of Crazy Gadget combined with all the chances to get insta-killed made this such a tough mission for me

Funny enough, I've never missed Hard Mode's, but I've missed them on Normal. I've found that just waiting a but until you're directly in front of the first ring works best.

@@SuperMachoGamer You have no idea how many times i've died from homing attack. Clipping through objects, falling off acid pits, homing around an enemy for seconds, I love SA2, but damn it can be frustrating getting all As.

@@SuperMachoGamer The physics are awful, but not for the enemies. The platforming on this stage is absolutely bullshit. Those Beetles have never gotten me, but I've clipped out of world due to an iron box landing on me in the switch room.

Just learn to auto-tap Y+B really fast and your only threat is some scary ring dashes, the Magic Hands can clear every enemy in seconds and rack up lots of points. As others have said, the timer does not matter, I A-ranked with a a 2k time bonus and an end score of 17800. I even missed the Gold Beetle and made it. Took about seven tries.

I just finished Hard mode with 23860. It is annoying that you get hit alot but focus on killing as many enemies as you can. dont care so much about loosing your rings. on the mother research use sonics super charge role to get lots of points. theres at least 5 of these guys in the level. just make sure not to die and have at least 1 ring at all times. youll hit over 20,000 before you reach the last area in space

@@bryedaking5769 I got mine by finishing the level in 1:53.87 once you get to the opened space part you do the second lever then jump to the purple time your jump and you fly right into the goal Also have a shield so you don't loose rings

6 years late, but the score requirement is 15k points, which is relatively easy to get as long as you don't die, get the gold beetle, and light attack the enemy chains for score bonuses.

Got to the final section but didn’t find the switch to open the missile. Tried to homing attack the spring to replay the section but instead, just fell to my death. Gotta do it all over 💀

I hate that jump at 2:44. I just can't get it to work consistently. At least half the time I just can't get enough height on the jump and get soft-locked.

Man the amount of frustration i had with this mission To Obtain an "A" Rank this is the hardest mission in the game I remember having a great run all the way to the end of level and there was a problem I didn't hit the switch for rocket and had to back track and find it you literally have to use the anti gravity to hit the switch before the unbreakable box comes smashes you causing you to glitch through the wall
