@@Cybertron-HallOfRecords The spindash in SA1 is too good. It gives you an insane amount of speed, along with the smooth controls the question becomes whether you can control that speed, it adds an even higher skill ceiling to the game that's also just plain fun, I wanna go fast. The level design is more open and gives you more options, especially with the crazy spindash you can find more skips. SA2 does add the neat trick system, bounce, railgrinding, faster light speed dash and the ranking system, but it also added the roll move which is completely useless on its own, the level design demands you to use it because it's useless on its own. But most importantly they nerfed the spindash so now you are pretty slow, SA2 is one of the slower Sonic games. SA1 also has much better side characters, Gamma, Tails, Knuckles are great on their own, Amy is too slow and Big is not fun. Meanwhile in SA2 the mech stages the controls are horrendous for no reason, and the emerald radar got nerfed so those stages too are a pain. Also you are forced to play as them to progress, while in SA1 you can choose not to. Also Sonic's new animations and model are a downgrade, but in return we did get Shadow.

I think that line meant that he just does what he thinks is right and he doesn’t care if he’s remembered badly for it. Eg. SatBK “Are you ready?” “Ready for what?” “Once you defeat King Arthur, you’ll be the worst of knights, slayer of kings.” “Guess I can’t be the hero every time.” One thing that’s bothered me about this cutscene is that it shows that Sonic is willing to kill if that means saving the day.
