Decided to do a little series of quick covers, playing over backing tracks like I did back in the day on this channel. Here's "Open Your Heart" from SA1 for you! I shortened the track, removing the 2nd section and jumping straight to the solo the way Crush 40 plays it live, haha. Hope you enjoy!

Hardest riffs ever for multiple Sega games* Let’s not forget Live And Learn, What I’m Made Of, I Am… All Of Me, the version of All Hail Shadow they did for Sonic 06, Knight of The Wind and Fight The Knight. Like it’s not even funny dude, they un-ironically made some of the best fucking riffs *EVER* for a series where a blue hedgehog fights an overweight man with an IQ of 300.

Bro hearing this as a child I fell in love with it, fast forward 20 years I now play guitar and seeing this as an adult this song has riffs in it that are absolutely crazy. Having the appreciation evolve over the years and change shape is so cool. This cover is so sick dude. Honestly the riffs remind me a lot of how mark Holcomb plays.

I'd been playing for 7 years when I recorded this, but you probably don't need that many. Will depend on how much you practice. :) Left-handedness won't slow you down at all. Left-handed guitars exist, though many left-handed players also learned to play on "normal" guitars.

You know, I think Jun plays the verse a bit different, but I like this way better, hammering the open D and G strings feels more comfortable to me than playing with the A power chord on the 5th fret

don’t remember… probably used BIAS FX. i typically used the Marshall model boosted with a TS and/or DS-1. EQ relatively flat. that’s my guess.

Tone knob always at 10. Distortion pretty high. Not sure what EQ settings I used here but most of the time I have everything around 7. These days I push the mids higher than the bass and treble.
