As a Kid I loved Sonic the Hedgehog and now my 4 year old son is a big fan of Sonic!! I introduced him to Sonic and now he is a huge fan of Sonic The Hedgehog and everything Sonic related...makes me think how everything comes full circle.

This was one of my first Sonic games. Got it for Christmas along with Sonic Colors and London 2012 back in 2011.

Agreed. However, as you unlock more and more Skills, the game greatly improves, the Mission 1 stages are actually fun. The others.....not so much. But the soundtrack and story are so great.

You played this with Dolphin, correct? On the wiki it says that the 60 fps code breaks some missions. And yet you've played all of them, right? How did you get around this issue?

Nothing was broken for me. The whole game worked fine. There were no issues for me to get around.

Most of them are earned through leveling up and I believe by obtaining Fire Souls. Some skills like the Crests of Darkness, Fire, and Wind can only be obtained if you earn specific amounts of Silver Medallions for each of the three said skills.

This Game Was Only Bad Because of The Way Nintendo Forced Motion Controlls Prior to 2008! This Problem Was Fixed In Black Knight Because it was Released in 2009

Aw man, I'm going off memory here. You need a program that lets you map the gyro. I used ds4windows. Not sure if there's anything newer or better. Once your ds4 is connected to windows either wired or wireless, install ds4windows and its special drivers. From there, you must make a custom profile and map the gyro to the left or right control stick so dolphin will detect it. Once in dolphin, enable emulated Wii remote then you should be able to map the gyro by tilting the controller. I had X set to 2 for jump, circle set to 1 for break, mapped the d pad to the d pad, square set to a z axis shake for homing attack and what not, and start to the minus button for pause. Here is where it gets complicated. For the motion sensing to work properly, upright and sideways Wii remote must be selected. Unfortunately, this breaks certain things like the catapult, flying carpet, and moving backwards. To do these properly, you must disable upright Wii remote then enable it again once done.

I think a lot of the fun this game has to offer is completely ruined by the levelling up system. Being able to run fast and move left and right consistently should not be unlockable abilities, they're core mechanics of any Sonic game and should be available from the start. That's like unlocking the ability to jump in a Mario game, it's just lame and completely nerfs the character for most of your playthrough.
