I planted 7 of the Sonic Bloom facing south in zone 5b WI. Sadly they are all covered in fungus because we had an extremely wet spring and summer. When I planted them I gave them about 3 feet from the house but they are so big and now touch the house which is not something I want, they just don't look good. I can't imagine how big the one planted here will get, it also seems really close to the wall.

Love your videos. Zone 6 here. I planted a sonic bloom pink and red last year next to each other. The pink has leafed out and has buds. But the red has just started to produce leaves and definitely not at the producing bud stage. I did fertilize them last year when I planted them. The red one is not dead but up until 2 weeks ago I thought it was because there were no leaves on it at all starting. It is weird the pink is in comparison doing so much better. Any advice or tips for me?

I have the princess weigela, and its about 6 feet tall only blooms on top branches and middle seems very bare... can i bring this shrub back by cutting it back in the spring... the shrub has been there for 20years

Hello, I have three Sonic Bloom Weigela that are 2 yrs old. They only bloom a little. Is there a tip to get them to bloom a lot more. I have given them 6-12-12 fertilizer, but still no luck. I might not have given enough maybe.

It is easier to divide certain perennials, but the root base of a shrub typically is not one that can be easily divided....

Weigela florida 'Bokrasopin'. "Sonic Boloom" is a copywrite name, as this particular variety is genetically created to have more blooms, over more seasons. 'Proven Winners', is the plant company selling them.
