I feel that the Sonic fanbase is competing on which fan game will be the next real one backed by Sega. This one has incredible potential and is hitting all the right notes from a gameplay and audiovisual perspective!

I feel the need to mention that Sega has technically never backed a fan work. sonic mania was a game pitched by two people who'd worked with sega multiple times, even if they had made several fan games in the past. i don't think you meant to imply that sega is actively looking at the fandom for potential talent, but it's a bit too easy to read that way. of course, this is a dreams fangame so they wouldn't be picked even if that were true. but a fan can dream

The none streamer mode has a bunch of copyrighted Japanese tracks for those who are curious. We were giving music suggestions for the streamer mode and they picked my Menu track suggestion. :) Game feels alot like Sonic Overrdrive with abit more of an Adventure approach. Love the art style!

I'm not against dialogue in a sonic game by any means, but I felt like the dialogue didn't add enough to warrant its inclusion. Everything said by the dialogue was already conveyed to us by the setting and the action. Loving everything else about this though.

This is absolutely what Sega should be making. I would suggest sonic fan games should have a slow motion mechanic, maybe call it "Quick Thinking" or something, make it limited like the boost gage, so that when you approach a slower platforming section you have some time to plan a more efficient route without breaking your flow and momentum.
