For it to be a true Point and Click, should require you to move Sonic with mouse clicks. Like clicking and holding to make him move, I'd say the mouse wheel to make him jump. And the right mouse key to spin dash

Move sonic with one controller while another player uses the Game Pad. People say bad things about the Game Pad but if you open it up and replace the part that gives it Range, you won't have any issues.
