What I love about the Good Future zones is that they don't regress technology, only making it safer. The trees are still mechanized in Palmtree Panic, probably optimized for better photosynthesis - more oxygen per tree. The cities in Collision Chaos and Stardust Speedway still expand. Tidal Tempest still changes, but turns into a giant aquarium instead of Robotnik's aquatic landfill. The quartz is probably still mined in Quartz Quadrant, but in a safe, environment friendly way. Same can be said about the factory in Wacky Workbench - safer, smoother, probably powered by green energy. Robotnik's fortress in Metallic Madness is still, well, very mechanic, but its machines are now used to breed rare plants. The future is not about abandoning progress. Just sidestepping to avoid being reckless.

100% agreed. The message in Sonic CD was never 'technology bad, progress bad, nature good' but that these things are not mutually exclusive to one another; they are two sides of the same coin-too much of either will result in negative effects on both society AND nature.

Actually the bad future theme of stardust speedway is always supposed to be played when fighting metal Sonic it just that he changed it with the good future version instead

@@superoakwood5513 I think this was done by mistake in the PC port. The original SCD version in Japan played the Bad Future regardless, but in America it kept the track regardless of the future you landed in. They may have used the American version to port the game to PC.

I used code of level select where you can choose any level of any time.

Simply go to the past, find eggman's generator (there is one on each act), break it, go to the present, go to the future, and presto! If you feel like it, you can reset the level (only on PC and mobile) to play the entire level like that :D

I think both are wonderful, but I'll always prefer the American OST because beating a boss with THAT music feels like not being scared anymore. You don't just beat the boss, you also defeat the music by making it stop.
